No one was crying over size back then. I can guarantee you that if Cotto and Margo were beasts at the time and destroying people Pac would have NEVER fought them. But they were shot fighters and YOU CANNOT ARGUE THAT *******S.

Pac is the junior middleweight champ will only fight someone specially selected that poses no threat to Pac to defend that title.

Now you got Sergio who has stepped up his game and now he's to big. *** all of you biitch ass *******s.

Pac is probably the only fighter that I can remember that is loved by so many but considered to be a fraud by many others.
so you really want Sergio to step up his game? why picking Manny? why not Bute, Abraham, Froch etc etc..dont pick a welterweight guy who couldnt even reach the limit.

probably the real reason is to see Manny fall. right?

isnt it Sergio who's ducking Manny? they wanted 155 lbs but Manny already said even before the fight that he would go back to 147 lbs? if he really want to fight Manny why not agree to what Margarito team agreed? 150 lbs catchweight?

Brutha man, Sergio HAS stepped up his game. Manny is supposed to be a giant Mexicusioner or whatever. Manny only fights shot fighters in the upper weight classes. All of Manny's opponents in the welterweight division were struggling at the time Manny fought them.

Dela Puta came out of retirement and went on the South Beach Diet.

Hatton ****** ass in the two fights leading to Pac's fight.

Cotto ****** ass in the two fights leading to Pacs's fight.

Margo ****** ass in the two fights leading to Pac's fight.

Guess who's next....hmmmm....who fits the pattern?? You got it, Shane Mosely.

I can guarantee Pac will be fighting Shane next!!

if manny and his team wants to fight martinez, they're going to have to come up, in a fair fight at least, if not, then martinez will give ground and sign the contract giving pacquiao and team what they want, and although since it is agreed upon and signed into contract, then its a fair fight as well, just with a clause*.

what i'm getting at, a true test of pacquiao's skills would be to fight martinez at a fair catchweight. then we can really see where pacquiao's skill set and talents are.

i love the style match up, i think it's an instant classic, just weight is the issue. big slick fighter fighting a crafty and creative smaller fighter, both have speed, slickness, good ring generalship, and can hit hard. it's quality. both have a decent amount of defense, they take and make opportunities, have high work rates, and great stamina. it's an awesome, awesome match up, better than floyd vs anyone of them, IMHO.

but to be fair and make it a great fight, pac is the one who has to give up a little more, at least more than what he's been giving. let be honest and fair here, if anything pacquiao has been winning all these fights in negotiations, before he even gets into the ring. that is what will determine this match up as well, or any of pacquiao's fights from here on out.

i say, come up a bit and make it fair, test your skills manny, he'd become a true great in my eye if he gave martinez room to make a decent weight without coming into fight looking like a concentration camp victim....... dehydrated, dry, and ripe for the ko......... not fair..... and to martinez, don't sign a ****ty contract.........

Sergio stepping up his game to fight a welterweight who's last fight was only 144.6 lbs in a weigh in? yeah thats a big step up.

just wanted to remind u that there is a division called super middleweight who is only 8 lbs less than the middleweight and im pretty sure Sergio weighed around 170 lbs give or take in his last fight.

Pacquiao calls all the shots because hes the biggest draw in the sport. DiBella cant promote a fight for ****. Its a real shame for Martinez because he deserves to be on PPV's but DeiBella cant get him there. If he wants to fight Pacquiao than make 147 and your at the top of the list for Pac's next fight. No guts no glory.

                    • Margarito weighed 165 lbs on fight night vs Pacquiao & weighed 150 for the weigh in (the night before the fight).......Martinez weighed 168 lbs on fight night vs P Williams & weighed 158 lbs for the weigh in (the night before the fight).

I can see Martinez weighing 165 lbs on fight night & 154 for the weigh in for a Martinez vs Pacquiao fight @ Super Weleterweight/Super Middleweight (Pacquiao's new belt...the same belt that belonged to Martinez prior to Pacquiao arranged fight).
