Who cares? Everyone knows Sexy is the real champion anyway.

Would the WBC overlook the mandatory if he fought a unification match against Sturm. Also possibly the sexiest fight ever...

Martinez won't be fighting Sturm, Sylvester or Pirog in unification fights either because Ross Greenburg doesn't want European fighters on HBO.

And he won't be fighting JC Chavez Jr because Bob Arum isn't ready to cash Chavez out yet, there's lots more $$$ to be made off him.

So Martinez will be stripped of the WBC title for sure, but he'll keep the Ring title.

I don't think Zbik is that good really, the WBC will probably do something ****** like make Sergio super champion and Zbik regular.

Martinez would take him out quickly tbh, Zbik has a good boxing ability but it nothing that will trouble Martinez. Would prefer to see him against someone worth fighting

Pirog is worth putting on HBO and has been on once, i'm sure he'll be featuring on HBO in the future.

Calzaghe and Kessler have both been on HBO, HBO have had Hamed, Calzaghe, Golata, Adamek, Lewis on several times.

Khan, Bute, Kotelnik have all been on HBO recently. Sturm deserves to be on HBO if he gets a win over a big name opponent instead of some of the recent guys hes been fighting unfortunately there aren't many big names out there, Sylvester is an average righter in the grand scheme of things and lots of the best European fighters are tied up to showtime contracts like the super 6 fighters and the European Cruiserweights are well Cruiserweights who don't tend to feature on HBO even though there are some exciting fights to be made.

The Klitschko's aren't in particularly exciting fights even if they are dominant which seems to be the main reason they aren't featured on HBO recently their past fights have been on HBO. Remember Wonjongkam, Montiel, Ward, Dirrell, Acosta have all had very few if any HBO appearances.

But looking at Martinez situation there's not any boxers around to give him megabucks untill the supersix is over. In the meantime it might be good for him to pick up a nice german check along with an easy first defense. At the same time looking at it from Zbik's perspective he has earned a titleshot so the decent thing is to give him his shot.

Agreed, although I'd rather see him fight someone else, he's earnt his title shot. But if it is as easy a task as your all making out (I'm not sure, haven't seen him fight I think) then Martinez deserves a break anyways and an easy payday so he might as well take it.

Having said that, he's got the ring belt so shouldn't matter if he drops it.

Alphabet titles are relevant when no one's got a ring belt in the division IMO and that's only with the four relevant ones.
