The Luis Valero March To Inevitable Greatness Command Central

Edwin Valero's Brother Luis Valero has made his Pro debut and won via 1st round KO. This thread is to track his progress and march toward greatness.

Granted it's just his debut but in terms of what can be seen here he's Orthodox rather than Southpaw like Edwin but his style, technique, aggressivness and power seems like they may be similar to his brothers. Along with his combination punching and very good natural reflexes.

I'll definitely be following his progress, hopefully he's more stable outside the ring and is also able to deal with the added pressure and attention of being Edwin's brother.

Interview with Luis and some of his people. (If a Spanish speaking member could translate im sure lots of people, me included, would be grateful.)

Could someone be kind enough to at least translate any of the key points in the interview?

I would do it but I'm out of my PC and I have no sound available. I can do it once I'm at home if no body has done so already.

That would be awesome man. Much appreciated. I'm curious if he has the same trainer that his brother did.

He certainly looks like a young Valero but too bad he isn't a southpaw which was a considerable advantage for Edwin against most opponents.

Do you know what weight Luis is fighting at?

Check it out.. you can still listen to old shows on there..

Obviously this was before his recent pro-debut so they are really just talking about the 'plan' so to speak, but looks a great prospect. My only real concern is his lack of amateur experience.

TS - Keep this thread alive and updated. Iv got a good feeling about this kid, his mannerisms in the ring are so similar to Edwin.. Im a HUGE Valero fan so i'll be keeping a keen eye on Luis and his progress.

here's a translation for the interview, i almost made an identical post here http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=441675 hahaha

--And an interview before his pro debut valero appears at 4:03, but before that they talked with the promoter of Valero in Mexico, here they told that Valero unlike his brother went to University, he has a wife and a kid in Venezuela, he has been boxing since 2002, when they asked him what is his prefered style of boxing he just said I like to give KO'S, i like the explosiveness, that is in his nature.

His goals, be a world champion and after that win all the titles, he also talked about his admiration for the WBC belt, and that he felt really great when Edwin won his title,

His first steps in a boxing gym were when he was just a kid and he accompanied his brother Edwin to the gym when he has just an amateur boxer.

And that he was going to dedicate his Pro Debut to his brother Edwin that rest in peace was the first one that told him that he is a world champion and that he has everything to be one.
