Answer his question though. Who are you comparing Americans to? Worldwide, yes America has clearly lost its dominance. Country V Country, America is still clearly the number 1 nation in the world.

I dont get it. Why dont you compare country to country instead of country- regions/continents. Just goes to show how badly America dominted in the past....

So quantity=quality in your book? I completely disagree. Look at countries like Puerto Rico or Cuba. There is more fighters from England but either one of those countries right now has more talent.

            already lost it

somebody posted an article a couple weeks back tallying up top 10 fighters by nation and compared 1990 or something to now

americans have declined like 50% while most other countries rose, Russia/ex-USSR had the most growth

It's easy when Mexicans direct competition is usually against other Mexicans. Other than a few fighters here and there the lower weights are always between Mexicans. Americans on the other hand are fighting in MORE divisions than Mexicans and against MORE fighters from MANY more nations. Gotta remember now many countries outside of 3rd world nations can get down to 110 lbs.

No, you completely missed what I said.

                      Here's an example:

The USA has by far the greatest TOTAL NUMBER of pro boxers, including 414 heavyweights.

But although Ukraine has only 24 pro heavyweights compared to the USA's 414 pro heavyweights, the TWO BEST heavyweights in the world are Ukrainian.

The USA has the greatest QUANTITY, but not the best QUALITY boxers.
