otherwise you wouldnt see guys like ricardo mayorga(blacks) and cain velasquez(whites) hating on guys that look just like them, its not about colour its about having soo many mixes history that you can look one thing but b made up of soo many more things like brazillians in the 1800s they were like 80% black looking look it up, now their about half black half white population but stats show every single white person in brazil and every single black person in brazil have some significant blood % from the other therefore you cant label mixed people colours you just simply call them mixed just like in Australia mixed is mixed not colors

in the 2000 u.s. Census puerto ricans were asked to identify which racial category with which they personally identify. The breakdown is as follows: white (mostly spanish origin) 80.5%, black 8%, amerindian 0.4%, asian 0.2%, mixed and other 10.9%. The census results are self-reported, and in puerto rico, people would follow the opposite of the one-drop rule, so even though puerto rico is largely made of mulattos, most of them tend to consider themselves either "white" or "black" depending on skin tone.[citation needed]

What I found slighly interesting on youtube is that with blacks then you are judged by you country like african wouldnt look at african american as the same just like a aboriginal(native australian) wouldnt look at edison miranda or robinho being the same as himself but a white american will look at a white slovakian as the same, color before nationallity with yanks, the rest of the world is nationallity before color eitherway latino stereotype is most defintelly brown skinned guys who like thiago alves and miguel cotto act gangster but are the best lovers/dancers in the world

Latinos (those from South America and Caribbean) are simply the decedents of mixed ancestry the bloodline is Caribbean Indian natives, African ******, and white slave owners who ****d the natives and ******. They shouldn't even be called latino's honestly since they aren't from Spain. They are simply Spanish speaking descendants of their Indian and slave ancestors. The government made up the "latino" designation because the don't want them to view themselves as "black". Because they don't want brown and black people to unite. The easiest way to make people hate each other is to separate them with divisions and make it a "us" and "them" thing. Just look at Dominicans and Haitians they live on the same island but for some reason many Dominicans think they are better than Haitians weird. I think it is sad that people who clearly aren't white and have little to No European blood in them would want to be something they are not, white. I think subconsciously any person not from Spain and Portugal must hate themselves or have self confidence issues to not want to be proud of their minority heritage.Last edited by BoxingTech718; 11-26-2010, 01:11 AM.

As for the question I don't know if they are because a lot of white people have just started recognizing Italians as white. There was a time not too long ago when Italians were viewed as not being white lol!

No. You really do not get it. Sergio Martinez is pure 100% Castillian. His DIRECT ancestors COME FROM SPAIN. Sergio Martinez LIVED(ES) in MADRID, SPAIN. Why? Because his parents are FROM THERE.

I don't give a **** what you have to say about Mexico or some of the other South American countries, but you can't claim Argentina as being descendants from ****** and crap like that. THE VAST MAJORITY are IMMIGRANTS from ITALY AND SPAIN.
Don't be an uneducated person with an inferiority complex. You're like a Latino ****e Lee (trying to claim Italians as having a connection/roots with blacks and/or claim them/their culture as blacks' own), only you're trying to lump ALL South Americans together as ONE People. Horse ****. Study up on Argentina for one. And take a look at Sergio Martinez. He's a ****ing Caucasian to the bone. I could go out and get a tan and change my last name to Rios and still people would have no problem identifying me as a white dude - same thing with Sergio Martinez. He's unmistakably white, culturally, racially, however you want to spin it dude.
