His promoter didn't say they didn't want to fight Pascal in the near future. He said that they don't plan to. The reason for that is that they want to clear up 168 before they move up for good. Interbox also said that the fight would happen in 2012.

As for Kessler, they said that just after Bute became champ. They admitted he wasn't ready, because he had around 20 fights at the time. They didn't want to fight the best guy in the division at the time while Bute wasn't in his prime yet. They were honest about it and said that he needed 2-3 more fights before going after Kessler.
