Maybe he is looking for another washed up fighter from the Contender series ala Jessee Brinkley.
The Super Six organizers admitted recently when they signed Bute to a Showtime deal, that Bute simply wasn't invited to the tournament and that he wasn't on their radar at the time/that they regret passing him up.

I don't get what's wrong with fighting in Montreal? He sells out stadiums there while lots of American fighters are fighting in front of 1,000 people on an Indian reservation. They also said that if the attendance looked promising they'd take a fight between him and the S6 winner in New York. I think it may have even been a contract condition.

Bute has shown to have very good skills & also has power in his punch..Other than those u mentioned Bute has also defeated Sakio Bika & knocked out hard hitting IBF champion Alejandro Berrio for the Title..At the time Alejandro Berrio was comming from knocking out UNDEAFEATED fighters like Yusaf Mack & Robert Stieglitz back to back!!! & to call Andrade a "HAS BEEN" is CRAZY!! Before Andrades 2 defeats against Bute, his ONLY lost before that came against Mikkel Kessler by way of a hard fought UD.. After the Kessler lost Andrade defeated Yusaf Mack by KO(who was still considered a prospect) for the USBA title & then beat the NOW current WBO 168lbs champion Robert Stieglitz by KO! & Andrade is known to be TOUGH AS NAILS & could take on hell of a shot & Bute still managed to knock him out!!

Lastly, Bute is in need for a big named opponent because the Pascal-Hopkins winner is contractually obligated to give dawson a title shot. Bute and Martinez need each other right now. And if Dibella doesn't see that, h's doing a piss poor job as a promotor.
I actully kind of agree. Martinez shouldn't have to be loyal to HBO. And I don't agree with what Dibella was saying about HBO being good to him. He's got two black marks on his record that should be wins because of them and he was disrepsected last night by being put in the blue corner when he is the champion which Dibella complained about with his own mouth. I honestly don't think Martinez is afraid to fight Bute. But Dibella ruling out this fight isn't good in a way I don't think because nobody else around his division generates that kind of money that's willing to fight him.

It would also be interesting to see what Bute's take on this fight is. Probably doesn't want it now after seeing what Martinez did. He's only been fighting Ward leftovers and contenders here lately. Lol.

Bute and Martinez are very likely each other's only options for a big fight their respective next times out. The only other option Martinez has is Mayweather. And for all the reservations and concerns that many want to believe that Mayweather has about fighting Pacquaio, in my opinion really exist in Money's mind concerning a potential fight with Martinez. Martinez is a match-up nightmare for Mayweather. And personally, I only see him crossing the Mt Maravilla if he has absolutely nowhere else to turn for a big fight.

LOL at you saying Andrade lost a hard fought decision against Kessler. It was a brutal beating and lost every round on every judges scorecard. He was a punchbag for 12 rounds. Bute hasn't beaten any of the top 6/7 guys at SMW and is being hyped like Jeff Lacy was.
Compare him to Froch, Froch may have lost to Kessler but wins over Taylor, Dirrell and Pascal are better than anything Bute has done.
Bute's best 3 wins are Berrio, Andrade and Bika and that is hardly a who's who of SMW. He's being hyped because he's undefeated and smashing out second level opponents whilst the top guys are all fighting each other. He might be a top SMW but I'm not ready to annoint him king before he actually fights a top 5 opponent.
And what is Mark Vester saying he's one of the best pound for pound, absolute bollocks. A KO of Jesse Brinkley doesn't get you on pound for pound lists
