i'd still put FLoyd number 2. Williams was not really what his fans projected him. the supposedly slick, fast and skilled fighter got knock the f@ck out in 2 rds.

Your memory must be really bad if you forget the 2nd rd ko that just happened over an opponent who also beat Pac's last opponent.....but triangle theories get no one anywhere in these discussions.

Floyd needs to put the work in or loses his rankings when other fighter display impressive feats in the ring.

Based on boxing ability I go: 1. Mayweather 2. Martinez 3. Pacquaio. Btw I think both Mayweather and Martinez beat Pacquiao.

Dont know why you put Floyd on there.. Hes taking a year or two off..
Well who do you have as 3?

Floyd winning over Pacquaio or/and Martinez would soldify him as #1 P4P in the sport.

                you guys are smoking.

martinez is up there but not p4p number one or 2.

look at his last 3 opponents.

cintron which is a welterweight and a mental midget.

willams. who is a come foward welterweight who brawls (plays into martinez style)

pavlik. who is yet another come forward fighter who's there to be outboxed by a guy like martinez or even old man b hop.

to be P4P number one you have to be able to beat ALL kinds of styles. not just one style which plays into your own style.

before i rank martinez as p4p number one i want to see him in there with some actual middleweights and not welterweights and people that don't play into his own style.

i want to see him in there with middleweight guys like

                Daniel Geale.

                Hassan N'Jikam.

                Dmitry Pirog.

                felix sturm

any of these guys would EASILY be the hardest fight of martinez career.

He does need to be an active fighter. But he just faught in May. And everyone here knows it's ridiculous to put Martinez over Mayweather, but not Pac. Especially when Mosley's performance over Marg was more impressive than PWill's. I mean, it's how you win right?

a devstating KO of Paul Williams > 12 round domination of Shane Mosley

and Mayweather is my favorite fighter but I give credit where credit is due.
                      talk about fanboy reaction lol.

2yrs ago martinez was fighting 4rounders.

unless he racked up 10 awesome wins since then i really cant see how this guy makes it top 5 even
