Why was Clottey a has been??

Again, there are many people, outside of P.R. of course, who thought Clottey won that fight.

And there are some people who also thought Clottey beat Margarito.

Your logic and consistency falls apart every time you post.

Clottey was not a has been. No one dominated Clottey. No one had beaten up Clottey.

The only person who completely dominated Clottey was Manny. A little guy who had been moving up from 112. What is not to admire?

I was quite apprehensive about Sergio before the rematch took place. I even thought Sergio might collapse due to PWill's volume and pressure. Now that the scores have have been settled, I feel like I'm a damn hypocrite myself. Kudos to Maravilla!!

You'll never get anywhere with Mayweather fans. At least with Manny you can apply some perspective and look at his rise through weight classes and marvel with the way he's been able to carry his power, increase his speed and absorb naturally bigger fighters' punches. How long has he been at 147? How long has Floyd been at 147? Manny is doing it faster and in style, while the other guy prefer to beef with Rick Ross on his twitter account.

I had this conversation with one of my my co-workers who is a Mayweather fan. And basically I told him that if Mayweather and Manny ever fought each other it would be a difficult fight for me to pick. Although I do not respect Mayweather's career, I do respect his skills.

As far as accomplishments inside the ring are concerned, hands down Manny is the one taking the risk, fighting the good fights, and entertaining people on tv and in the stands. That is why I like Manny more than I like Mayweather.

But if they ever do face each other, it will be a difficult fight for me to choose.

Gotta love how everyone is kicking Paul while he's down, when you should be giving him credit for fighting a guy (twice!) with the kind of style and skill that would trouble anyone, and isn't a household name, where you have nothing to gain and everything to lose. That was a b1tch move to disadvantage Martinez imo, and nothing more.

If Williams wanted to come in light, then fine..... but as least let your opponent come in at his comfortable weight.

Besides, it was only one or two little kicks, I'll forget about him in a day-or-two once everyone starts changing their sigs back

It has to do viewing things in there proper perspective. Manny just recently became a welterweight and is dominating men, who had never been dominated before. They were all competitive with each other, but not with him. His rapid rise through weight classes is impressive in that context, because it's highly unusual. If Floyd took a chance and fought those same guys, I'd give him credit too. But we both know he would never do that. So in your opinion who is the best fighter in the world?

Of course you a guy credit for fighting an unknown commodity in Sergio. What did Paul Williams have to gain by fighting Martinez, and to a certain extent even Cintron?

Martinez with his style, is the kind of style coaches advise you to stay far away from. At least Paul took his chances and granted he lost, but it took balls to get in that ring a second time.

It was a world title fight, and probably his biggest payday.

So what? It's a ****ing business and he wanted a payday like everyone else. Instead he's forced to take on guys with no upside in Martinez or even Cintron, while guys around him get opportunities for super stardom and massive paydays. Also, did you forget he was scheduled to fight Pavlik like 3 times. Pavlik is 6'2.

Also, if you were fighting in the 147-154 pound division, wouldn't you call out the best fighters in the division, who also happen to be the cash cows?
