You don't see greatness in a fighter who moved up from being champ 112 and beat up, not win, beat up a fighter who weighed an almost additional 20 pounds from the 150 contracted weight??

Are you aware that no fighter in the history of boxing has moved from that low of a weight class to become champion?

I mean, can you imagine one of these 112 pound champions today move up to 147 and dominate and knock out full blown welter-weights?

You are either not a big boxing fan, or you are very biased?

I don't like Mayweather, but I do recognize him being a great fighter and excellent technician. Maybe you should do the same.

That was one of the most brutal knockouts I ever saw. I thought he killed Paul williams!

can you seriously say pac and mayweather would lose to berto / khan / bradley / alexander ?? come on!... thats a mismatch.

theyre the best at 147.... martinez is best at 160... thats world`s apart... suggesting for them to fight is idiotic. we have weight divisions for a reason. because in the normal world a big great guy >> small great guy
          What a good post.

If Pac - P.Wil ever gets made, everyone who asked for it is gonna say "oh, P.Wil just came from a brutal KO loss".. I guess we're running out of top African-Americans, eh?.. I'd still love to see that fight though..

Did you guys have to hijack this thread ?

This is not about Manny or Floyd.

This is a "laughing at Williams, and cheering for Serg" thread

Gotta love how everyone is kicking Paul while he's down, when you should be giving him credit for fighting a guy (twice!) with the kind of style and skill that would trouble anyone, and isn't a household name, where you have nothing to gain and everything to lose. At least Paul grew a set and rolled the dice twice, that takes courage. You gotta guy who has more beefs on twitter than he does competitive fights and some of you guys cream your pants when you see him ride around on a segway with BFF 50 cent.

What you seem to comprehend is that's what Pacquiao and team does. They look for fighters that have been exposed recently and just exploit their weaknesses to death, slap on a catchweight stipulation to get them as skeletons by fight night.

Paul Williams never backed down from any fight. And he should be given credit.
