Do you think Pac gave mercy to Margarito on the last round?

It seems Pac also keep looking at ref on the 11th wondering maybe he should stop the fight. Just my humble opinion of course.

Of course he did, he clearly layed off him and had mercy on Margarito, had he really tried, he could have took Margarito out, and done some real real damage, like he hasn't already.

No he didn't. Pac domintated the fight and knew he was clearly winning the fight so he didn't want to take any risks to get himself in any kind of trouble. Had the fight been close he would've approached the last rounds in a more aggressive way.

Have to agree with this. No reason to risk a fluke loss in the last round when you have it in the bag. He went for the stoppage in 11, and in 12 he just made sure he won.

Pacquaio, so completely pummeled his opponent that he purposely pulled back on his attack in the last round instead of going for the finish. It was evident in the fight and he admitted such in his post-fight interview. His reasoning, “I saw how injured Margarito was, his eyes bleeding and swollen, I didn’t want to hurt him anymore.”

He did something similar against Cotto.

I think he might have. Why kill the guy? I also think Pac felt if he went all out in the 12th, he wouldn't have KO'd Margarito but he would have given him a lot more damage, which would not be good for Margarito's health. I think Pac said to himself, just win the round without landing anything too hard. Roach said in an interview he told Pac to knock him out in that last round.
