As you can see on the last round Pac still punches but he limited it to 1-3 combos with no power behind it. He can finish Margarito in that round as there is no need to be careful. Margarito had nothing left in the last round. Good decision for Pac not damaging Marg permanently.

I think he was having a hard time catching Cotto, not going easy on him.

possibly. for kneegal quitto fans pacquiao was giving cotto mercy from round 9 and was making gestures to the ref for the most park in those rounds as there was no point on punishing the quitter when hes been on his track shoes since round 5

            It's not even questionable.

Ridiculous that they didn't sop PAC Margarito, but manfredo vs calzaghe ... That needed to be stopped.

It's obvious he did. Pac seemed to still be energized in the 12th, and Margarito was there to be taken. He wouldn't have finished if Pac didn't allow him to. Pac admitted as much in his interview afterwards.

I think Pac said to himself, just win the round without landing anything too hard. Roach said in an interview he told Pac to knock him out in that last round.
No boxer is going to think like that. He's not Ghandi nor is he some male version of Mother Teresa with boxing gloves. Margo is a tough guy who is dangerous the whole entire fight. No matter how much punishment he'll take, he keeps on coming and coming, and if you lose focus for just one second he could very well take advantage of that and it could be all over. This is also the same guy who had already hurt Pac during the fight. Pac fought smart the last couple of rounds because he didn't have to go all out and not because he felt bad for the poor Mexican.

Wasn't he looking at Bayless at the last couple of rounds to stop the fight? Hmm, maybe I'm mistaken.

Are you an attention whore? Why else is this even a topic, there is nothing to speculate over. It was a stated fact not minutes after the fight ended.
                      good job OP.
