the more the fight sales the better it is for boxing. and easier i believe for them to do 50/50. still if floyd fought margirito the fight would do an additional quarter mil on whatever manny does lol mayweather vs mosley did 1.5 right?
To much emphasis on PPV numbers and not enough reflection on the market in which the numbers were done and where the fighters are from that have done them. Floyd is the PPV king, I find that hard to argue against. But he's American and as far as I know fights in the biggest PPV market as such. Are there even PPV buys in the Phillipines? If so, how many homes are fitted to use such a tool? I would guess the amount would be far less than here in the United States. BUT, if all things were equal I have no doubt Manny would easily surpass Floyd. Just my two cents.

why do you say that? floyd-mosley did 1.25. i guess pac is the new ppv king. 60/40 or pac fights malignaggi!

i like to see ppv numbers just to see how good boxing is doing.
philippines is irrelevant.
the numbers compared for pac and floyd are the same. north american ppv buys.
those numbers don't include buys from philippines.
from what i've been told pacquiao fights are show on network tv (with a lot of commercials and not live) , cable tv (which is live but i think has commercials) and ppv (which is also live but with no commercials)
that's what i've heard. a filipino hopefully will clarify it.
