there was a couple of numbers that came out for floyd-mosley.

i've seen 1.2m and another 1.4m. not sure which was the final one.

numbers change since they're just projections.

no one really knows the exact number 'til much later on.

        philippines is irrelevant.

the numbers compared for pac and floyd are the same. north american ppv buys.

those numbers don't include buys from philippines.

from what i've been told pacquiao fights are show on network tv (with a lot of commercials and not live) , cable tv (which is live but i think has commercials) and ppv (which is also live but with no commercials)

that's what i've heard. a filipino hopefully will clarify it.

That is exactly my point. We have a non American doing numbers in this country that are comparable to an American superstar. If all things were equal and the Philippines had the same PPV system, does anyone really doubt Pacs numbers would surpass Floyd? The K bros draw huge in Germany and eastern Europe but are pretty much a bust here. Why would it be any different for Pac with the same kind of set up on his homeland?

no one should ever think numbers like 1m or 1.2 or 1.25 or 1.4m is bad.

good ppv's are usually in the 300k range.

they do that amount and they make money.

i mean marg-cotto 1 was a big ppv and successful. mexico vs. puerto rico.

          #1 vs. #2 at welterweight.

what did that do? 400k? at most 500k?

when you compare fighters ppv stocks go up and down in business bro same as boxing. you look at there last fights to know who is hotter and making the cash. floyd's last fight was with Mosely and pac's was with Margarito. You look at there last fight to see there current or present market value. If pac goes over 1.4 million. Then please use your common sense that pac is the king of ppv for the active fighters at the present. Pac is the face of boxing.

To the haters, that say mosely wasn't even a draw. Mosely can bring the house down in staple center. when he fights there it's a sell out. Margarito in the other hand, a lot of people hate him and wanted to boycot his fight with pac coz he is a cheater. But for some reason pac's magic has gone up and up! Pac is the man =)

they can't do the same system in philippines.

a lot of people are poor.

i mean the middle class guys probably have cable so they get it there.

the rich ****s buy the ppv.

the poor would be screwed without the network broadcast.

So if it does less than the 1.4 Mayweather-Mosley did, Mayweather is the king of PPV and the face of boxing.

                    probably later today.

they said they'll have accurate "projections" by today. it'll still be just projections though.

the only reason they're saying it'll be more than 1.2-1.25m the other day is because they got the dish network numbers and it was doing better than pac-delahoya which did that amount. but that's just dish network.

Again my friend, this is exactly my point. Floyd has the PPV home field advantage, so to speak. Were things reversed and Floyd was the foreigner and Pac the American, I believe, and this is only my opinion, that Pac would easily surpass Floyd. Im not trying to knock Floyd, only look at both sides of the coin.
