Because he's now 38 years old, much, much slower and older than when they last fought and even that wasn't at his best anymore. He's going to have another war soon and be even worse off after that.

Mosley would be a terrible fight. The guy really is shot. He's most certainly not a quitter and that **** Ariza is a prick for saying something so disrespectful of a great fighter but he wouldn't stand a chance at the moment. He was all but shot in his last few fights, though against a guy with no defense whatsoever he can still look ok, and will be even worse in another 6 months to 1 year.

Looks like Mosley may be going up the river anyway now that he withdrew that Conte law suit. And really Ariza is right. Mosley seemed to mentally concede when he was getting owned by Floyd that night.

With that said, the JMM-Pacquiao trilogy fight is pointless now. The time to make it was right after the second fight. JMM has slowed down and man Pacquiao looks like a punk for demanding a guy to come up to 147 who weighed in at 132 in his last fight.

Honestly Shane would be more competitve even at this stage than any of Manny's last 3 opponents.

Good post, but the weight issue is also a main factor, even at this late stage of Marquez' career. Even at 135 it would still be competitive, but 135+, I don't think so.

I agree, even at this point, and Shane won't have to go looking for Manny like he did with Mora/Mayweather.

Ofcourse it is. Anyone with boxing acumen knows this. Shane Mosley despite not being the same guy who fought ODLH or Viper is still a two handed figher with speed and power. He does have stamina issues and is slower than Pac, but Pac is hittable. Cotto and Margarito were able to hit him quite a bit. He also has a penchant for wanting to fight and does allow himself to be taken to the ropes.

I don't think the fight happens unless Arum takes control. I feel even at this stage it's not a fight Freddie Roach wants to go near. Shane is still effective at 147 and he rocked Floyd badly.

People are reading too much into the Mora fight. He has never been effective at 54 against bigger men and "boxers"

Against Manny he is bigger.
