Tony hurt Pacquiao in the fight and landed good shots. "Only once" still counts as hurting him. Pac's not easy to hurt, it's worth noting.

Margarito showed Sat that he is the same fighter that he always was. He would have beat most fighters at that weight. He fought the best fighter of this generation and maybe the best fighter that ever lived. I doubt Cotto has the courage to step in the ring with Marg, but if he does...expect the same fight as the first. Marg will pressure him to submittion again. Margarito is back! Cant wait for that fight!!!! Thoughts?

TBH i agree. I think the main reason Cotto lost was his stamina... he gassed mid way through and I don't think he's changed. Marg was still walking forward and landing in the 11th of the Pac fight.

I think a rematch would play out similar... Cotto boxes well early on (as he did against both Pac and Marg) then gasses mid way through allowing the pressure to ensue from Marg.

The general spread of opinion that it was a great fight for the majority of the fight.


Pacquiao made it a domination down the Championship stretch, where he capitalized on the toll his more hurtful punching had finally taken on Tony (although he went light on him in the 12th).

For the majority of the fight, they punched with each other and made a great scrap of it.


I predicted that Pacquiao would have too much for Tony before the fight (although I bet on Tony for fun with odds), but that Tony would hang with him most of the way and do some good work, and that's what happened.

Still it's Texas, not the USA but guess what? Texas is still part of and will always be considered territory of the United ***ing States of America.
