I made no mention anywhere of floyd's personality, I'm talking about the business of fighting.
Call it jealousy, hate, or whatever you like, but Floyd is entitled to think what he thinks just like you and I. You may not like the fact that he asked Manny for OST, but he was willing to undergo the same tests so it is not like Manny was doing something floyd wouldn't. It doesn't matter if he didn't think other fighters use PED's or that he never asked for the testing before.

floyd agreed to Manny's stips and offered his in return and manny didn't agree. To conclude that floyd doesn't want the fight is absolutely ridiculous. Now if you say they both want the fight, BUT ONLY ON THEIR TERMS, then we can agree. Doesn't mean either is scared or dont want fight. It means they both feel they are in the position to dictate to the other.

Its been so long since either had to compromise to make a fight that they are both being stubborn.

one way to save face in negotiating is to make demands that are out of the norm and not likely to be accepted. the art is that the demand can't be so obvious that it blows your cover. like if floyd demanded that they fight in a barbed wire ring it would be obvious. it's pretty clear that he didn't want the fight.

you're also leaving out floyd's "vacation" on the second half of the year. and all this about his uncle's legal troubles. you know and I know that trials get postponed all the time in the US, and it could have been done in rogers instance.

Dunn, they are both being stubborn, but all indication from everyone in pac's camp is that they want that fight. The indicators from floyds camp is much different.
The economic indicators are indicating that I sound like a much wacker version of Chris rock in my post.

How more racist can one be , you should really go check yourself.

Spewing racial rants upon blacks and anyone else is down right ignorant, it obviously shows that you weren't brought up correctly.

So is the thought that black fighters are not warriors and just run and hold. I've seen quite a bit of that here too.

Arum's comment had more to do with money and marketing opportunities for Manny. The Phlipino-Mexican angle is done (DLH-DIaz-JMM-Margs), he has fought plenty of Mexicans. They had a big PPV turnout marketing to Puerto Rican fight fans when he fought Cotto. The Brits represented when Hatton stepped up to the plate with PPV buys and buying tickets.

Arum is referring to Pac vs. (P-Will or Mosely or PBF or Alexander or Bradley) allows him to tap the African American PPV market. Most buys come from urban areas and it is a fresh money making opportunity for Top Rank.

As for match making the reason he hasnt fought black american fighters is because he has been fighting in the smaller weight classes where you have more latino and asian fighters.

And to the dumb'A$$ on this thread: Black is not a style. Malignaggi, Sergio Martinez, Lucien Bute, Foreman are all "slick" fighters...does that make them black? No.

It seems that any fighter that sets up from a Philly Shell Stance (1 hand up, 1 down, sideways stance, Stand in the box, roll with punches and counter) is said to have a "black style", or any boxer that's flamboyant and athletic is the same. What you all are implying is that Black fighters arent technical enough so they have to improvise, be slick.....terrible, just flat out racist.

The Philly shell is the most difficult style to master and it takes supreme skill...very few can do it successfully. Malignaggi for example is terrible at it. On the other hand Roy Jones Jr, James Toney, PBF, and Hopkins are masters of it. But not all Black Americans fight like that at all. Most have styles that are not Philly Shell/flamboyant.

P-Will: Euro style, Slightly outside the box sets up off his jab
Dirrell- Stick and move, counter puncher
Ward: No style to speak of yet. Still fights like he is in the Olympics, uber fundamental. He changes from fight to fight..maybe a boxer-puncher
                Bradley-Euro style boxer puncher
Andre Berto- Boxer Puncher, Speed fighter
                Shane Mosley-Brawler
USS Cunningham-Euro style, straight forwardworks off jab
                Cornelius Bundrage-Unorthodox brawler
                Zab Judah- Boxer Puncher

                Philly Shell type fighters:
                PBF
                Bernard Hopkins
                Devon Alexander
                Chad Dawson
