Manny successfully conquering the best slick fighter takes him to the level so many others already place him on. Manny is a phenomenal talent, he is tyson at the height of his powers with the added ability to box and move. That said, when i watch him fight I see the openings he creates that I belive a well skilled boxer would capitalize on.

Manny beating floyd would be more impressive then Duran beating SRL because manny came up through more weight classes then Duran. That said, lets make sure we seperate the idiots from those who just want to discuss the point rationally.

Well you posted about what Arum said about black fighters and that's totally different fom what this thread implies but oh well...

And no matter how people will clamor for that fight with a "slick" boxer or whatever need to wait until corruption ends in boxing, and that said, ****** threads like those will continue to flood NSB.

gotta be slick with something to get manny's respect. he's too fast if you can't get him off you. so feather-fisted cuties need not apply and scared dudes like berto damn sure better not expect to win.

so if he were to fight pwill at 147, even though he's not particularly slick, would this satisfy?

I was just pointing out ignorance. Pure boxers aren't only African American and African Americans fight many many different styles.

Why not say that Manny needs to flick someone slick with pop? Just a pure boxer that couldn't get manny's respect would get run through. Think about Dmitry Pirog or Sergio Martinez or Dzindurek. None are black, all three have different styles that would be troublesome for Manny, and only one of them is a pure boxer.

I said yesterday that I only want to see Manny vs Floyd or the winner of Bradley-Alexander. People who are trying to shi t on Manny, better hope he doesn't fight Berto because you're going to lose this argument in a big way. I'd lso like to see Manny fight Bradley or Alexander at 140, cuz I know he can still make it there.
Yes. I think its just that for so many years the style was associated with black american fighters. I think this is why Yuri was "too tall" for Manny yet Marg , at the same height , wasnt.

True manny is too good for berto no question. Bradley has a better chance but I think Mann gets him. Lets be real, floyd or Paul and thats all. I understand when people post crazy **** like Zahir Raheem would've beaten Manny (or he ducked him).

Given that many people think JMM beat him at least once, prob twice, and he lost to morales when he decided to box (and was on weight), it would provide a greater test of Manny's considerable skills to fight floyd or paul, because they can box like the JMM and Morales but possess much more speed.

I am not Manny's biggest fan but that doesn't mean its racist or hating if I bring this up.

I was saying this earlier....Kirkland fights nothing like Mayweather, both black, both American. Jeff Lacy fights nothing like Roy Jones, Hopkins fights like no one else period......there needs to be much more detail and specificity involved to describe one attribute that links all black American besides color because there are a wide variety of skills and attributes that black American boxers utilize to be effective.

There's nothing left for Manny to do but shut up his last remaining critique.

Floyd doesn't want it, like I posted yesterday, he's done everything short of faking his own death to get out of this fight.

If, for some reason, I could get what I wanted (other than floyd-manny obviously). I'd like to see Manny go to 140 and clean house, starting with Bradley-Alexander (which better be Bradley cuz Alexander got outboxed by Kotelnik). OR, I'd like to see Manny fight Pwill.

I'd be shocked but very happy if either of those happened. I really haven't figured out what I think they'll do next, but knowing who Manny's promoter is, I have a bad feeling about it.

                Walt:

Floyd agreed in january so that doesn't sound to me like someone who doesn't want fight. You said the same stuff about your boy Shane too and, just like then, it was the other guy avoiding floyd.

Floyd may be an a$$hole, beater of women, degenerate or whatever other negative you can call him. But he agreed to the fight in January and Manny didn't. Popular opinion and truth are not the same.

If no floyd fight can be made (i think floyd has to) then bradley at 147 or pwill at 147/150 would be acceptable. No shane, no cotto.

Fair point. Again it all has to be kept in perspective. Top Rank's matchmaking doesn't mean manny is scared of a certain style nor does it mean he cant defeat it.

For me, I just want to see the styles against each other. Manny could severley hurt a good boxer or he could be made to look silly by a good boxer. I will do my part not to contribute to the ******ity.

Yup Dunn you the man. Good **** as always.

Now it's all a waiting game again on Pac's next opponent. Personally I wish twas Tim Bradley or JMM (just to shut him up), climbing up another div is pushing it.

dunn, floyd agreed to fight only if manny agreed to a demand that is inconsistent with anything floyd ever did before and is not the way things are done in professional boxing ANYWHERE. If that's not a way to get out of a fight, I don't know what is. it's agreeing to a fight but not a boxing match, because that's not how boxing is conducted. he has and had no proof of anything, none of his stablemates use OST, he never asked for it before, its a total joke.. and since then, he's proved he wants it less and less.

I made no mention anywhere of floyd's personality, I'm talking about the business of fighting.
