I use "slickness" in the snes BHop did when he told pavlik to get some "slickness" after their fight. Slick has been associated with black american fighters the same way brawling has been associated with mexicans. Obviously it is not the sole property of each ethnicity.

Manny successfully conquering the best slick fighter takes him to the level so many others already place him on. Manny is a phenomenal talent, he is tyson at the height of his powers with the added ability to box and move. That said, when i watch him fight I see the openings he creates that I belive a well skilled boxer would capitalize on.

Manny beating floyd would be more impressive then Duran beating SRL because manny came up through more weight classes then Duran. That said, lets make sure we seperate the idiots from those who just want to discuss the point rationally.

And no matter how people will clamor for that fight with a "slick" boxer or whatever need to wait until corruption ends in boxing, and that said, ****** threads like those will continue to flood NSB.

I was just pointing out ignorance. Pure boxers aren't only African American and African Americans fight many many different styles.

Why not say that Manny needs to flick someone slick with pop? Just a pure boxer that couldn't get manny's respect would get run through. Think about Dmitry Pirog or Sergio Martinez or Dzindurek. None are black, all three have different styles that would be troublesome for Manny, and only one of them is a pure boxer.

I said yesterday that I only want to see Manny vs Floyd or the winner of Bradley-Alexander. People who are trying to shi t on Manny, better hope he doesn't fight Berto because you're going to lose this argument in a big way. I'd lso like to see Manny fight Bradley or Alexander at 140, cuz I know he can still make it there.

Given that many people think JMM beat him at least once, prob twice, and he lost to morales when he decided to box (and was on weight), it would provide a greater test of Manny's considerable skills to fight floyd or paul, because they can box like the JMM and Morales but possess much more speed.

I am not Manny's biggest fan but that doesn't mean its racist or hating if I bring this up.

I was saying this earlier....Kirkland fights nothing like Mayweather, both black, both American. Jeff Lacy fights nothing like Roy Jones, Hopkins fights like no one else period......there needs to be much more detail and specificity involved to describe one attribute that links all black American besides color because there are a wide variety of skills and attributes that black American boxers utilize to be effective.

dunn, floyd agreed to fight only if manny agreed to a demand that is inconsistent with anything floyd ever did before and is not the way things are done in professional boxing ANYWHERE. If that's not a way to get out of a fight, I don't know what is. it's agreeing to a fight but not a boxing match, because that's not how boxing is conducted. he has and had no proof of anything, none of his stablemates use OST, he never asked for it before, its a total joke.. and since then, he's proved he wants it less and less.

I made no mention anywhere of floyd's personality, I'm talking about the business of fighting.
