margarito did. pacquioa was NEVER in trouble against cotto. he was with margarito specially in round 6.
Who did better against Pacquiao? Cotto or Margarito?

Who gives a ****, they both got killed.
I'd say they did just as good as each other.
I think Cotto landed way more quality punches on Pacquiao, and was highly competitive for 5 rounds.
But Margarito lasted longer and kept trying to do something...but Margarito also hurt Pacquiao in the 6th. Those were some of the only solid punches he landed, but they did hurt him.
I'd say it's even. Let's see Cotto-Marg 2.Comment

Don't be fooled by Marg's greater constitution. His capacity to take a beating doesn't mean he was more effective against Pac than Cotto.
His punches had no effect on Pac, none. Aside from the sixth round, Pac was coasting to an easy UD. After the Cotto fight Pac had a busted ear, a puffed up face and probably, greatly reduced punch resistance. I saw it in the Clottey fight, Clottey puffed him up with what? 20 punches? And along comes a Giant version of Margarito and he's a powderpuff? He landed the most on Pac and did the least damage? WTF. Makes a case for the loaded gloves conspiracy people...
Cotto, even when hurt would hit him with some powerful straight shots and his jab was considerably more effective and damaging than Margs. It was basically 4 rounds of decent scrap vs 12 rounds of ineffectiveness... I'd say Cotto was more competitive.Comment

This!..
Most of the first 5 rounds were Cotto's if it weren't for the KD's..he actually had some success.
Pacquiao showed more mercy with Margarito..he kept looking at the ref to stop it..and that entire 12th round..he carried him..
And finally..Cotto might have only outweighed Pacquiao by 5-7lbs..so it's a lot easier to rock a guy like that over a guy that's almost got 20lbs on you..
I think Cotto looked better against Pacquiao even tho he got TKO'd..
That's like saying Clottey looked better than both of them because he tagged Pac a few times and was never hurt or on the verge of being stopped..LMAO!Comment

And I'd say you are wrong... Cotto was NOT competitive after the 4th round, thats a joke...Don't be fooled by Marg's greater constitution. His capacity to take a beating doesn't mean he was more effective against Pac than Cotto.

Tony was far more competitive...Comment

We can agree to disagree.
Lasting 12 rounds and getting beaten half to death
vs 4 rounds of competitive fight and later dismantling.. dunno, but Cotto has moments where he shined against Pac. Marg didn't, aside from the sixth. Sure Cotto backpedaled to survive, but even then he was landing solid shots here and there until he couldn't do any more.
His constant stalking just proves his toughness, not his effectiveness.Comment

Cotto by far , I'm suprised marg is not in a coma right now
cotto never looked like a punchin bag like marg was , and pac broke his eye socket and permanently damage marg foreverComment

Great analysis. Maybe, just maybe its the fact Cotto and Pac are very similar in size in reality, and Margs is a giant compared to both of them, so he lasted what? an extra round? While damaging Pac the least out of his last three fights? Get real... The sixth round body blows were his only shining moment.Comment
