From reading the comments, people have good points on both guys doing better, but like someone else said earlier, its like asking who got the higher F! lol They both took a mean ass whopping.

But how far.... and some criticized Cotto for taking a knee at the end so he can come back without serious damage.

#1 I'm a Cotto groupie (jk, I am big fan though)
            #2 I F'n hate Margarito

            That said, Neither did well.
They were both dominated by Manny.

Cotto was winning the rounds that he got KO'd in BUT Margarito never got KO'd in his fight with Pac.

Cotto ruptured Pac's eardrum but Margs bruised Manny's ribs and landed meaningful harder punches deeper into his fight than Cotto did.

Cotto was drained at 145 but Margo was drained at 150 (or whatever he had to weigh-in at)

Pac said Cotto was his hardest fight to date, and the hardest puncher, but he said the same thing post Margs.

I cant stand Margarito but he came in focused but a little dry. I think Cotto was straight starched for his fight with Manny.

I think it's a wash with the eyeball test saying: slight nod to the Tornado's performance. But at the end of the day they both got whooped something awful.

I'm with you brother - that fight should have been stopped by the ref and/or the corner...

i am a big Cotto fan, and i am mad at Margarito for the Cotto fight (still think he had plaster). but Margarito did keep coming forward (eating the harder shots in the process) and hurting Pac to the body, i really thought Pacquiao was gonna go at some points in the fight. Cotto lost his cool after getting knocked down a couple of times, Margo kept coming till the final bell.. so i give it (reluctantly) to Margarito.
