The only thing I feel sorry for is that he talked for years about the title shot, and under-performed terribly the moment he got it. He will remember it for the rest of his life, regardless of any other success he may have had.

With the millions he earned though, I doubt he will feel too bad about the criticism he will face. He has faced it for his whole career and doesn't seem to make a big deal of it. But it did seem like he had deluded himself about eventually becoming a champion.

With that said, I hope to never see the man compete in a ring again, for his own good.

Audley's a nice guy, I've met him, he has a nice family and lovely kid, he doesn't deserve the **** he gets from people.
So he failed on the big stage in boxing, he gave it his all but he wasn't good enough, simple as that. He doesn't deserve the **** from keyboard warriors and cowards like Hitman from Michigan.
Problem is he didn't give it his all. He didn't fight back at all. You can expect hate when you don't even try. All he tried to do was not get hit. We'd all respect him more if he went out fighting, even if he was KO'd in the first round.
