neither do most of the guys who fight for vacant titles.

they are fighting for the vacant wbc 154 belt.

the last 2 fights for a vacant wbc 154 belt?

    mayorga vs. piccirillo

mayorga was coming off a loss to trinidad at 160 and piccirillo lost to spinks at 147 a year or two earlier.

    forrest vs. baldomir

forrest only had 3 fights at 154 , 2 against no names and 1 against an old ike quartey and it was baldomir's 1st fight after losing to floyd at 147.
Two wrongs don't make a right. At the end of the day, Pacquiao will be known as a fake champion.

it doesn't make it right but it shows you how the orgs operate.

if you knew about the forrest-baldomir , mayorga-picirrillo vacant title fights , you wouldn't be so surprised about why this is for a vacant belt.

you can consider him a fake champion. that's on you. i don't consider him a 154 champ after this.

in the end though it doesn't matter. numbers and stats and titles are just frosting on the cake. in the end history judges these fighters by their greatest opponents and greatest fights.

not by trinkets or what they weighed in at.

It is up to Manny to take this on. No excuses if he loses.

Margarito gets credit if he wins.

Your not a boxing fan your a *******, I'm sorry bro but it's true.
130 really? You are like a dog barking at the wrong tree! You are mocking on people in a disadvantage position. 130 or 144.6 Pac fighting 150 Margarito who might outweight by 15-20 is low? Fruck u!

Why are you and Mak and every other person supporting this not getting the point?

Why don't we just get rid of all the weight divisions and make it like UFC 1 where there was weight classes. A 160lb kickboxer could fight a 300 sumo wrestler if he wanted to.

Why are you guys missing the point.

I am not calling Pac a ***** for fighting bigger guys. Hell he could fight the Klits if he wanted to and my point would still stand.

The people who can't see eye to eye on this matter are just simply ****ing oblivious.

Pacquiao will certainly consider himself a champion. He's been bragging about it all the time. From chit chat with his friends to interviews on network television. I'm just glad you agree that Pacquiao is full of himself.

He should take a page out of the Mayweather book and refuse to pay for these bogus titles.

Also, I don't think this will be a very good win for him at all. Margarito hasn't looked impressive in over two years, during a time in which he was considered to have cheated against his opponents. Not only that, but he's weight-draining his opponent again. First with Cotto, now with Margarito. Why can't he just fight at the division's limit like everyone else?

I held my tongue when they said they would make this fight for a contracted 150lb jr MW bout. , but now him coming in at 144 is just ****ing absurd. If you want to fight MW then weigh in at MW. If you want to be HW then weigh in as heavy weight. It's black and white . Night and day. No gray. I understand how everyone here is so ****ing oblivious.

                      that's on him.

if he thinks he's a champion at 154 then that's his opinion.

                      not mine.

i think you just have a problem with pacquiao and not really the fact that he weighs in at 144. that's on you. whine away.

i just want to see a good fight.
