I believe it was a simple strategy to get in Pacquiao's head. I truly believe Floyd thinks Pacquiao isn't on anything, but why not stir the pot some more and cause more controversy? Look how many PEDs experts this site alone spawned.

I believe if Floyd genuinely knew he could wipe the floor with Manny that easy, he would've made an example of him already and beaten him ala Hatton and Marquez before him.

when they actually fight i have floyd winning. i personally only see the first few rounds being close. to me the fight reminds me of hatton vs floyd. except manny pivots more and southpaw. but that hatton had fast hands and footwork but was easy to get hit. and he was worn down. manny will be the same fast at start until floyd adjust to it. manny wont adjust to floyds adjustment and thats when the fight will begin to end.

not saying manny and hatton are on same level but i just see the fight playing out similar. and manny doesnt hold either so he be open for more ****s
also in that fight, floyd showed an ability to eat big punches yet keep going, like a soldier.

If Bert Sugar believes that, why would Floyd believe different? Humans - such interesting creatures.

I believe the same thing. He has the style and the skills to beat Pacquiao, but he doesn't wanna risk his '0'.

Will mayweather ever stop running scared and fight pacquiao?

            Bert Sugar(2:19 PM)

I would like to believe that they will get it on. It is the most anticipated fight since Sugar Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns. I don't think Floyd is scared of Manny, but I think he feels he can lose. Talk to Floyd for 10 seconds or less, and he'll tell you he's the greatest fighter and has never loss. Ali, Ray Lenard, Ray Robinson all loss but Floyd never has. And at 40-0 he's right. Pacquiao is a guy that was hoisted on him. I have him winning but in his eyes he thinks he might lose. After that, there is one "minor" problem, he's under investigation in Nevada and it will be hard moving around the ring with an ankle bracelet on.
Bert's on point. i mean someone that has to tell everybody that he's super confident, is doing that because he's just trying to convince himself. and he'll think it'll be easier after everyone around him believes that.

Floyd's a great boxer, cuz of his boxing mind, he has an answer for every fighter, he just needs to believe in his abilities. how high wouldn't he have been rated in history if he took every fight available in his boxing lifetime?

but i bet Roger and Floyd Sr. know about Mayweather's insecurities too, and that's why they take it easy and don't push him too much. once they get to fight him, they'll dissect him more and get the fight plan.

great boxing mind without confidence is useless, it will get you in fear, shutting your mind down and getting you KO'ed.

and we all know Pacman doesn't fear anyone and he'll come to fight.

I do think Mayweather would win easier than their record suggest, But Mayweather asking for a drug test shows me he not only think Pac is on something but it also shows me he really see Pacquiao has a threat to him.

I think Floyd realizes he can't potshot Pacquiao to a decision and at some point Pacquiao will drag him into a war. He will have to go toe-to-toe with Manny at some point, maybe even for all 12 rounds. For all the talk about how Morales beat him, how Marquez really won their two fights, both those guys went through hell against Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao isn't an easy fight for anyone.

Mayweather is the master of adjustments, can win fighting any style, and will do what it takes to win. I don't doubt that Floyd can stand there and exchange with the best offensive fighter in the sport, and actually get the better of him. But I don't know if he's at the point in his career and his life where he wants to get down in the mud and claw his way to a victory.

The blood testing issue will be brought up and argued about here, like it always does. But that's besides the point. Whether Pacquiao is or isn't on some sort of drugs, the fact that Floyd brought up the issue in the first place when he never brought it up in any of his previous fights shows that he's hesitant to take on Manny. Somewhere deep down, he thinks there's a possibility that Pacquiao could hurt him and even beat him. That's just the truth.

The evidence dosent support that ,,, the PEDS issue was in the first draft given to Team Pac in March they knew from day dot about OST , they agreed to it at the time in the media , how can it get into Mannys head when Roach came out and said its no problem any test ,, that would have been the end of the whole thing ,,,, but after Arum made all these demands on Floyd that he unexpectantly excepted there was nothing else left that Arum could pull to stop the fight , so then they went back and started to make a big noise about OST ,,,, follow the timeline and its plain to see Arum never wanted Floyd for Manny , he wanted to milk him and thats what he has done .

Floyd defense is better than Pacquiao's offense

And if Pacquiao somehow gets through that defense, Floyd's chin is good too.
