Bert Sugar "I Believe Mayweather Will Beat Pacquiao, But Floyd Thinks He May Lose"

    From ESPN Chat today:

Will mayweather ever stop running scared and fight pacquiao?

    Bert Sugar(2:19 PM)

I would like to believe that they will get it on. It is the most anticipated fight since Sugar Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns. I don't think Floyd is scared of Manny, but I think he feels he can lose. Talk to Floyd for 10 seconds or less, and he'll tell you he's the greatest fighter and has never loss. Ali, Ray Lenard, Ray Robinson all loss but Floyd never has. And at 40-0 he's right. Pacquiao is a guy that was hoisted on him. I have him winning but in his eyes he thinks he might lose. After that, there is one "minor" problem, he's under investigation in Nevada and it will be hard moving around the ring with an ankle bracelet on.

Agree 100 percent with Bert on this one. I honestly think Mayweather has the style to beat Pacquiao, but I don't think he's as confident as people that share this same belief.

i disagree with that old fart bert floyd thinks hes going to win !!!!!!!!!! i dont think thers even one doubt in his mind that he will loose !!!!! but he will manny is too quick !!! and while kfc does have good defense he always gets hit with one or two solid punches in every fight !!!! after watching how his legs buckled in the last fight i doubt he survies the 2 good punches manny will get him with !!!!!

I believe its 50/50 fight and who ever wants it more will win. The fighter to make the most mistakes in the fight will lose.

It's a pick 'em fight. I take Manny.

once floyd actually gets in the ring the bell rings the best of floyd will come out. its getting pass the signing period and getting in the ring thats the hard part. i dont blame floyd or manny i blame everyone who has something to do with that fight being signed and delivered to the fans. i cant put blame on anyone because its nothing but he say she say and whoever is fan or whoever just listens to that side of the story. personally i think its all agreed between them all and this is all planned out. floyd is not going to jail period he gonna get a fine and thats it. lesser people has done worse and got nothing but a slap on the wrist.

when they actually fight i have floyd winning. i personally only see the first few rounds being close. to me the fight reminds me of hatton vs floyd. except manny pivots more and southpaw. but that hatton had fast hands and footwork but was easy to get hit. and he was worn down. manny will be the same fast at start until floyd adjust to it. manny wont adjust to floyds adjustment and thats when the fight will begin to end.

not saying manny and hatton are on same level but i just see the fight playing out similar. and manny doesnt hold either so he be open for more ****s

Floyd will win rather easy in my opinion , its a style thing he will frustrate and pick Manny apart ,,,,,,,,, for my take the thing on Floyds mind is he believes Pac is on PEDS and yes he is scared of losing , but its losing under false pretences he is scared of not the lose itself .

                  To me it's still a 50/50 fight.

I have a good amount of reasons why Pac would win, as well as with Floyd. I think in-ring consistency may play a roll and as it stands, Pacquiao is the busier fighter while Floyd's fought twice in the last 3 years against a blown up, out of shape Lightweight and an older past prime Shane Mosley (which I still give him credit for winning).

Like dude said above, I think whoever wants it the most is gonna that night.

floyd is smarter in the ring. manny relies on what roach tells him then he executes thats what makes him good. what makes floyd good is his natrual instinct and his best ability over speed and anything else is his ability to adjust mid round and ability to fight in and out counter or lead.
