They both have the power and laughable defense to stop each other but I like JuanMa's chin after this Saturday better.

I'm still not high on Juanma. I support him, though I may hold reservations on his decisions (or Arum's) at times.

Marquez, though really strong at 118, still must have had respectable and dangerous pop at 126. I think with some rest he can still ROFLSTOMP most guys at that weight, even at 35.

He is a diminished fighter, sure, but still greater than most.

As for Juanma Calling out my boy JMM I think he's drinking too much Koolaid. Stay far away from JMM. He has started to look old, but he has serious pop at 130-135.

            I disagree,

Gamboa hasn't knocked out any decent fighters with one punch.

But Jaunma has taken out Pounce and Concepcion with a few punches.

He has also knocked out several other fighters with decent chins in one or two rounds.

Gamboa has gone 12 with Barrois, Salido, Jimenez. He also needed 10 rounds to finish Rojas and Gonzalez.

I don't give to much credence to the Mtgwa KO. Roger came in really light and gave away his only potential advantage.

I think Jaunma is the bigger hitter.

Gamboa is dangerous because of his world class speed.

He hits you when you don't see it coming.

You should give Gamboa credence for the Mtgwa KO. Sure, he came in a few pounds light but that's nothing when you're talking about 122-126. That had nothing to do with weight. If so, you shouldn't give credence to Lopez for knocking out Ponce who was absolutely tiny compared to lopez:

But anyways, regardless of opponents, I'm just judging by what I see. What Gamboa loads up on a shot, it's like a missile. So fast and that's where most of the power comes from the speed, kinda like pacquiao's punches. Pac isn't the heaviest handed guy, but because of his speed and the way he throws his punches he's got that knockout power. That's what I see with Gamboa compared to Lopez.

This why at this time I would trust JuanMa's chin over Gamboa's because he has been dropped and not fought anyone with the pop Rafa has.

JuanMa calling JMM is a bad idea he would be easily counter and by the biggest hardest hitting opponent he has ever faced.

Good question Lucci. I'll explain what I've been saying from the start regarding this fight. It's a toss up. And like Natas206 mentioned earlier, it's exciting because they're both talented fighters with alot of holes on defense and it makes this exciting.

Gamboa has been on the canvas more than Lopez and by lighter punchers than Lopez. However I don't think Gamboa has a soft chin. I think it's more due to him leaving himself too open and that's the problem. When you're facing a puncher like Juanma you don't want to leave yourself that open.

On the other hand we've seen Lopez staggered by and hurt by guys less powerful than Gamboa. The difference between those guys and Gamboa is that Gmaboa has the speed to put more punches together for a finish. He has the speed to finish Juanma once he has him hurt.

So all in all it's a toss up fight. I'll be rooting for Lopez with fingers crossed.

ive seen gamboa down but because of being caught off balance. ive never seen him really hurt though. lopez on other hand i seen hurt a few times. i dont think either chin is bad because neither has been stopped or knocked out. ive seen people take everything lopez threw at them like mitgwa and gerry.

IMO Gamboa carrys power from speed. And it depends on how fresh he is on a round by round basis. Ive seen his speed decrease significantly as rounds go by.He can still get it out there faster than most in the late rounds , but he cant keep it up for the whole fight.

And I just think Lopez has the heavier punch over all. Gamboa has that blinding speed that catches you offguard/offbalance and stuns you.

Who do you think hits harder?
go and rewatch the last 3 rounds of Gamboa-Salido and tell me if he was tired....ill wait for you
