David Haye was only in TWO title fights at cruiserweight:

1) against old Jean-Marc Mormeck, past his prime after the two wars with Bell. Mormeck nearly KOed him, but Haye survived the round by deliberately getting behind him and landing a hard illegal rabbit punch. For that, Haye should have lost by DQ. Mormeck never fully recovered from the illegal punch, and was stopped within a few rounds.

2) against china-chinned Enzo Maccarinelli, who should never have had the WBO title in the first place. Maccarinelli got a chance to fight for the vacant WBO title against a clubfighter he'd already beaten because of Frank Warren's shady maneuvers

Both Enzo and Mormeck had been KOed before.

Haye avoided the best cruiserweights, such as Tomasz Adamek, Guillermo Jones, Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, and the IBF champion Steve Cunningham. Unlike Mormeck and Maccarinelli, none of these four have ever been KOed.

Gaye is famous for the rabbit punching, I saw him do it in the Barrett fight and especially the Ruiz fight, way worse than Peter and it's deliberate.

Not only was it stripped from Bell but it was specifically stripped because he ducked Cunningham.

They were scheduled to fight and Bell pulled out with a toothache (fear).

If Bell hadn't been a ***** and ran from Cunningham, and then lost the titles to Mormeck in a pathetic rematch of washed up fighters, Haye would have never been able to call himself a real champion without facing Cunningham.

WTF Mormeck vs Bell was a pathetic and pointless rematch? your hate of Haye has gone to new levels, The first Mormeck Bell fight was a great fight one of my favourite fights of the 00's and the rematch was a good fight to. Mormeck won the rematch and everyone at the time considered him the best cruiserweight he was ranked as the cruiserweight champion by Ring Magazine. Bell was stripped of the IBF title because he rematched Mormeck. I dont like Haye anymore and maybe he wasn’t officially undisputed champion but he fought the no1 guy in the division. If you lot put a down on the Mormeck win because he was stopped in his career that means that if Haye some how beat Wlad it wouldn’t mean much because Wlad was stopped by Sanders and Brewster. Haye fought the no1 rated man in the division and you can’t dispute that you unless you have an agenda.

I was at the gym watching them hyping it up the 2 guys are both actually quite funny but the fight is a joke. I might put a tenner on Audley though but i hear his odds have gone down loads as the fight has got closer.

I get the feeling this fight will actually sell well
