At 112 lbs (age 19), Pac was throwing 50 punches per round which is 12 below the weight class average.

Then his punches went up as he gained weight. This includes averaging over 10 punches per round over the welterweight limit in a new weight class. Yes his recent averages were 64, 69, and 68 (still higher than the weight class average). On top of that, that’s not even counting the 100+ punch per round output against Clottey which completely blows the 147 lb average out of the water!!

It doesn’t matter that his puches between 122 – 147 are 64, 68, and 69 respectively. The point that I’m making is his averages were well above the weight class average while he was gaining weight and being almost 13 years older than throwing 50 punches per round (112 pounds).

haha If he wasn't SIGNIFICANTLY older now then that would certainly be a plausible explanation. Take a look at the guys that he was fighting those wars with back in the day between 120 and 135.....what are those guys doing today? mmmm Most of them aren't even in the sport any more..doesn't strike you as the least bit su****ious that Pac Man is the only one still fighting at an elite level despite the age, the wars he's been through, the wear and tear, a trainer and nutritionist who have both been associated with PED users, and the weight? Yeah you're right bro definitely not su****ious at all.

JMM and Mayweather are still fighting and they're even older than Pac (just like Morales and Barrera)

Normally when fighters go up in weight they lose speed because of the weight gain.

Normally as fighters age, their punch output slows down. It doesn't go up like Manny's.

In the history of boxing, fighters don't get older, faster, stronger, and better conditioned all at the same time. In order to get one you have to lose one. For example:

You can get bigger but slower. Or you can lose weight and become faster. You can get older and bigger with age, but slow down substantially. Not all 3 at the same time.

              Get with it.

                actually it's simpler than that.

in the lower weight classes his opponents hit him.

at 147 , these guys are too slow.

                similar to floyd.

the guys at 147 are not use to seeing that kind of speed.

He has lost speed, watch him @ 126 and at 147 and you'll see the difference. He's 32, not 40 and very active and healthy and didn't look nearly as good in his last two fights as he did two years ago.

All the while the quality of his opponents has gone down since his lighter days. @126-130 he was fighting other ATG's, HOF'ers, @ 147 he's fought 4 good (not great) past-prime fighters that stand there to be hit, no wonder his output went up.
