I cannot debunk them, but I can argue the points.

1. Only margarito was cooperative. That's called damage control. Anyone can play dumb and lie when the heat is on. He's a smooth operator, a slickster...whatever euphemism you wish to use. I cannot prove it, but that's what I think he did.

2. Perhaps it was a 'hear no evil, see no evil' scenario. Who knows? Capetillo took responsibility...bully for him. I do not think that mitigates margarito's negligence (if that's all he is guilty of).

3. Ever heard of backroom deals? It's fair to take them at their word. It's also fair for me and others to suspect something else was going on. Maybe they did believe him...but they're also representative of the same group of idiots that could not find the hardened pads in the first place. I think the CSAC are staffed with incompetents and bureauc**** who have no guile or knowledge of the sport. You could argue that I do not, and you would be correct...but the difference is that I am not presiding and ruling over the affairs of the sport in my state.

I suspect that the CSAC did not wish to anger the enormous Latino population given margarito's heritage and maybe Uncle Bob had something to do with the outcome. They took a measured course with flaccid spines to blunt the outcry they feared would befall them should they rule harshly against margarito.

The sport of Boxing is corrupt, and it is as much about politics and money as it pretends to be about boxing. What I opined will be met with derision, but cool off and reread it. Change the players if you like and then see how it might hold water.

But to address your mindless assumption no i don't think he used anything in anyother fights because one Manny steward has said in many interviews that he check his wraps before he fought Cintron and there was nothing abnormal about him and he went on to clobber Cintron anyways. Yes because if you actually look at whos currently ranked by the WBC at 154 they have done tons and tons more then the likes of Sergio mora, Saul Alvarez, Chavez Jr, and Robert garcia who was indeed ranked by the WBC before he lost to Margarito. But whats even more ******ed is that most of the top 5 contenders that were ranked ahead of Margarito and Pac all moved weight classes or dropped out so yes i think it's fine especially when its been shown over and over that the WBC is "actually" following their own rules by having this fight. Margarito and Pac are actually the highest ranking fighters fighting for the WBC at 154 pounds. remember they aren't fighting for any other orginizations title so you cant take into account the rankings of the WBO
2. I wouldn't mind if Cotto and may fought for a Middleweight title because A. They have accomplished mnore then any other middleweight fighters out there and B. If that orginization actually is following its rules and not just installing a champion then its fine with me.

CSAC owes the fans a permanent suspension of margaresto. For margaresto's part, I think 5 years in a gulag would about cover the debt he owes.
