There's one thing you can't say, hater or not- that Bob Arum isn't doing his job as a promoter.

Pacquiao has been on 24/7, Kimmel (the vid of him and Ferrell has 750K views in 1 week), 60 minutes, there's ads for the fight airing on ESPN and during NFL games (literally tens of millions of hits/views). HBO is quietly but effectively hitting the Latino market on TV and the net, read an article about their digital media tactics and the head of advertising is expecting the fight to hit 1 mil buys.

I think when ESPN broadcasts the weigh-in and people see the size difference during the stare down, a ton of buys will happen then. What better way to sell the whole 'Pac is overmatched and could lose' angle?

My personal estimate was 1-1.2 mil buys, but I wouldn't be at all surprised by more.

It would've helped more if his feature covered the full hour. But it'll help to get some more eyeballs watching the fight.

The right way to promote a fight.

          Prime-time National Television.

60 Minutes gave this PPV at least a 300k buy boost assuming that most viewers were Boxing fans and already knew who Pac was.

          That's a conservative estimate of 3% viewership.

When you think about it this fight should do at least 1.4 million buys or even more. Good news.

The target demographic of 60 minutes is 60-80 year olds.

It will definitely boost it by a good bit, the fight would now appeal to the casual fans, so around 100-120k extra on top of 1m

my guess now would do around 900K-1.1M PPV buys. 800K buys wouldnt be so bad though.
