People like that make it hard to post around these boards. Idiots. If you're not going to say something that in SOME WAY contributes, whats the point?
I just don't get it.
By the way, very good pic. Is that a personal picture or just something you sort of stumbled upon?Comment

I got it from Marty (he's in the pic, he lost at 156 at that tournament to future champ Reggie Johnson...Frank Tate won the weight class)...I'm still friends -and in touch with- with four of the guys in the pic (Marty, Mickey, Ray and Joey) so it's special to me...I emailed it to a mutual friend that Tyson and I have, too...I know Mike loves this type stuff so hopefully our boy sends it to himPeople like that make it hard to post around these boards. Hmmm...doesnt ring a bell...I know I was there frequently from 1986 to 1989...then and numerous time since, including earlier THIS year when I sparred 12 rounds (including 8 with an olympian, Boo-Boo Andrade)...so that's a span of 24 YEARS sparring at that gym for me...seen a lot of top fighters run through the on that time...great gym that looks EXACTLY the same today as it did in 1986...
I was only there the one time but it left an impression. I remember driving up there with my trainer and being filled with such excitement and energy thinking to myself that Im going to be working out where Hagler worked out, hit the same bags as he did. I was 20 at the time but I felt like a little kid. Same way when I use to see Vinny Paz at Tiny's gym RI boxing, a place I know you also know well. Made me always want to train harder. I loved that feeling!Comment

Ward looked so young that I wouldn't even recognize him if you didn't tell me it was him in the photo, thank you for sharing Scully

yea, Tiny used to have some good sparring too at his gym..Tommy Galipeau, Brian Barbosa, Robert "Tyson" Fredricks, Tallinghast, Ray Healy, etc etc...I never boxed Paz there but used to box him FREQUENTLY at his personal private gymComment

I use to spar Tommy quite a bit, fought Barbosa in an exhibition, remember Sugar Ray Healy, know Jared through my cousin. You must remember "Happy" Harold Oumette who was Jareds cousin. Do you still talk to Chucky Sullivan ever?Comment
