This is a loaded question. I think most dont care for fighting overseas. Why travel when you can just fight at home? Though i will agree that north america has and attracts more talented fighters, this is where the money is at. But i do believe that a champion cant be told where to fight, but he has to fight the best. Like how Lacy wants to fight calzague. Hatton is a special situation, cause his people are acting like bizatches.

I don't agree that America is where the money is at... A lot of British fighters would have to take a big pay cut to fight in America.
Take Ricky Hatton for example... He can sell 22,000 seats at £75.00 a go, and still arrange for the fight to be on @2:00a.m. so as to take the American tv money. Most fights in America struggle to fill 7,000 seats $30.00 per seat.
Ricky Would be taking a big pay cut to fight in America.... But I still reckon he's gonna do it.

Most money comes from PPV, not how many tickets you sell.

Oh yeah, I aware of that... It just there are ways of working around that - For example, Ricky's last fight was on at 2:00a.m. local time so he would be prime time for American tv.

What is wrong with people on this website?... Can you not have a discussion about boxing without diving in feet first and saying, "YOU'RE FULL OF ****!" ????????
Don't underestimate how much revenue is generated through ticket sales.
22,000 seats at £75.00 per ticket, (that's approx $140.00 U.S.).
Think about PPV sales at $20.00 - That's the equivilent of 154,000 sales before we've even talked about TV figures yet.
And I did say that the fight is held @2:00a.m. local time so as to accomidate the U.S. prime TV slot.
