ok maybe not complaining...but after every fight people seem to only focus on the negatives on this forums instead of just giving a guy credit and moving on, JuanMa can guard good enough and move around and dodge punches good enough, of course he is going to get hit, he clearly came to FIGHT tonight, he wanted to stand in and trade

Its not a negative for the fans, he is an exciting offensive fighter with serious defensive flaws and I was glad to have watched him tonight. Maybe you should take your own advice in regards to this thread and focus more on the positive about it rather than the negative.

we were talking about how his right gloe faces DOWN when throwing the left all night. he will get KTFO over that at some point.

His lack of D won't matter though if he fights someone like John. He will get hit alot but probably won't be in any danger of being KTFO so against anyone with pop its a dramatic fight involving JuanMa.

Everything I intuitively worried about in this fight played out to a tee.

Rafa looked very small in there against Lopez who looked like a LW or JWW to me, and his age showed especially after the 4th round.


Juanma is decent, but this win doesn't change my opinion about him, if anything, it reinforces it.

I can almost guarantee that Juanma doesn't keep his chin out there & walk into shots from Gamboa!!He fought like that because it was a Rico-Mexican showdown & he wanted to prove something!!But like Gamboa's last fight,when they meet,they aren't going homerun hunting,neither will in the begining!!I think Juanma beats Gamboa because he's tougher!!

Yea his defense would get him in trouble with gamboa whop is super fast and packs a mean punch. Juanma is so open when he throws his power shots.
