If a guy with a 30-0-27 kos with De Leon, Marquez, Conception, Luevano,Penalosa on his resume gets no respect then ...He will never get it. Most fans give him his respect WHATEVER ethnic background..Simply people who know boxing.
I too want to see him fight Cabellero and Gamboa but he still gets my respect.
If he beats either he gets more respect.

Agreed... The thing is, theres just way too much hate going on man. Whole lot o people said that Rafa was going to win...and guess what...he QUIT. So many people came up with ****** names like Kneeguel Quitto and crap, but ya know what? We took it and screw it, rolled on with it... Now one of them quits on the stool... Be it by injury or otherwise...it's still quitting... it's a CHOICE, and they can't take it. Now they are counting on others to do what they couldnt do...lol LAME

Too much hate is right . The thing is I still have much respect for Marquez and if he won I would not give ant excuses to try and save face for Lopez.

But Lopez won and NO ONE FROM EITHER SIDE thought or guessed Marquez would quit on the stool.
Lopez gets my respect for a great win and even with the quit Marquez is stil great.
