you throw around the word montreal as if his dominant performances would have gone differently elsewhere.. he fights there because he draws crowds simple

before the people who whined about bute were accusing him of avoiding the super 6 (it was revealed he was never invited)

and now that hes with showtime, suddenly pascal (who ironically, is also french canadian and had bute fought and beat him ages ago, everyone would probably dismiss it as some meaningless canadian "local" fight) is the man to beat even though bute is doing the thing that actually makes sense and going where a high profile tournament is taking place in the extremely competitive division he holds a belt in

also youre saying bute "ducked" pascal because he wouldnt move up in weight yet pascal (who issued the challenge) wouldnt move down in weight either, so his challenge was more like an idle threat

So you are saying that since Bute is popular and hasn't beaten anybody.. Pascal who has fought everyone and has traveled overseas as well should have to cater to him?

Bute should have to meet Pascal's demands because it is Pascal who has actually fought and beat World Class competition. Pascal has done way more to earn the respect of fans than the notorious ducker Bute.

Also... proposing that Pascal should move down in weight to fight Bute is just plain, flat out ******. World Champions do not move down in weight to fight guys who haven't done jack **** in their entire career.

I noted that Bute has been a protected fighter for ages now. His record speaks for itself. Nobody can really argue the point. I will say that since they signed with Showtime, that Showtime will not allow them to continue that tradition

Ward still has 3 fights before he can meet Bute.

So Bute will fight 3 very easy bum fights on Showtime's dime and Showtime is only "hoping" they will be able to sign both guys to fight when the Super 6 is over.

As for now Showtime won't be able to do anything about Bute's level of comp until after this current deal runs out.
