147 was the best division in boxing because of mayweather, cotto, williams, mosley, margarito, later pacquiao and to some extent cintron, quintana, clottey and berto. now everyone has moved up to 154 or higher except for berto who really has no choice but to move up if he wants to remain getting checks from hbo...

bob arum will need to keep clottey in house...my guess is vanes is going to be chopped up and served to clottey if he doesnt start impressing. clottey vs perro would be awesome too

He was fighting the way he always fights. And he said it, pacquiao was too fast for him. Fast offensive fighter against a slower defense first fighter. Common sense the fast offensive guy puts the slower defensive guy on the defense all night. Also common sense that the defensive guy lands at a higher connect rate and lands cleaner shots on the guy not blocking.

I dnt think they are bashing his style but his heart. In 2 consecutive fights he failed to turn it on when he obviously needed to. Especially when he was never hurt in either case. That shyt aint cool to the fans. So ill echo the sentiments.

pacquiao just makes everyone look bad, look at what he did to de la hoya's face, ricky hatton looked dead and cotto's face looked like hamburger. Clottey's face was in perfect shape and he lasted 12 rounds. Joshua is still a good fighter and if he fights cotto in a neutral venue he would win.

Clottey, Cintron, Cotto, and Berto is a good mix of fights that can be made at 147-154. Clottey doesn't deserve any more big opportunities but these guys are flatlining right now. Any matches amongst them can be good. I'd prefer Cotto-Clottey 2 at either weight out of all of it.
