Because if Pac is the Catchwiehgt King, Roach is the Self-contradiction King!

Don't be so daft! We ignore his catchweight fights, not his entire career. The rest of his fights were enough to make him an ATG, but the catchweight fights were complete bullshit and were regarded as such at the time.

To be fair to the writer, someone other than the writer is usually responsible for the headlines, but you're right, it's a terribly misleading headline, and a lot of boxingscene headlines are misleading. Shame, because their writers are mostly very good, but their headline writers are not.

they can talk **** all they like, at the end of the day pacquiao is bending the rules to suit him. so what if your opponent is bigger than you! if you dont like it, dont fight at that weight class. even the complete wanker that is mayweather didnt fcuk about like this when he went to super welterweight.

You are being a moron if you really believe that s****!!! There is NO contracted weight limit on Fight Night!!! The weight limit is at the weigh in, and after that moment the fighters can rehydrate to whatever weight they wanted in to be on fight night!!! ******!!!

Pac has been coming in @146 or so since he was @130 so they need to cut the BS. A champion should be able to weigh in at the weight limit. The Leonard/Lalonde fight was different cause Lalonde wasn't a big Lt-heavy so he could easily make super middle and Hearns and Leonard were both moving up from lighter weights. Manny played Cotto out and he know he did which is really f'd up especially when they knew Cotto wasn't coming off a string of wars.

It is called star power, catchweight only benifits the star and with the amount of money that is offered to the contender how can they say no. If an opportunity of a lifetime to get a crack to the #1 fighter in the world. Catchweight has only benefitted Pac and the demands are from his side. Same as SRL
