      Context man.

Roach said he didn't like this one because it favored Margarito more than it did Manny.

In this article Roach is saying that it's well within the rules to hold a title fight at a catchweight. Both parties agreed to it so what's the big deal?

criticism of catchweight fights are illegitimate due to 24 rehydration policy of today's era:

there is basically no advantage or disadvantage to either fighter because of the 24 rehydration clause. its basically nothing more than a mental edge. A placebo.

History of Catchweight fight results prove this.

people need to read about catchweights and its history in boxing...its being going on for decades and its going on right now...this is pacs second catchweight fight (cant count delahoya since that was more of a circus act that was supposedly be a dream fight more than a real fight...and to ask cotto to drop just 1pound off of his normal official weighin of 146 to 145 isnt/shouldnt even be a big deal...and even the upcoming fight with margarito, its not like margarito been fight as a jr middleweight all his life...margarito was a lifetime welterweight...and since when fighting one fight at jr middleweight makes margarito a full time jr middleweight? besides, on fight nite, margarito is expected to be anywhere between 165-170

Steward said it is more credible when you beat the champion by allowing him to come in at the maximum weight limit. Oh you mean like Floyd does? And like Manny doesn't? But somehow Manny has accomplished more in boxing? smh

I take it you have never had to make weight or seen it being made ,, you think Roach takes a few pounds of these F1 athletes for fun lol , they barter back and forth over a pound but it dont mean anything lol ,,, how much did Oscar rehydrate in the 30hrs , I know why he rehydrated only 2 pounds when his body wanted 16 lbs , do you know why ?

Reporter - Do you think the CW advantage you or Margo

                Manny - uhmm Me , .

i would love to see catchweights done away with and have a policy where a boxer cannot go 5 lbs over the max weight limit on fight nite, in the pac/margarito case, cannot weight over 159 on fight nite...if margarito or pac cannot meet the requirement, then either fighter should be fighting in the middleweight division...this way, theres no more excuse about a fighter being weight drained.

Roach said in the article that the bigger Margarito is, the better it is for Manny. So why did they ask for a catch-weight?
