That's the funny thing about Klitschko haters (I am not saying Rado is one by the way), they all want to see the Klitschkos loose desperately, it pains to see them on top and ruling like this for whatever bias they have. So they pick each and every opponent of theirs to beat them, saying that "oh, he is too tough for Wlad" or "he will disrupt Vitaly with movement, Vitaly is getting old", then when the Klitschkos destroy them, they are like "who? That dude was a bum anyway, Klitschkos never fight anyone good." Then they place their hopes on another "great (fill in the blank) hope" only to see their wildest hopes and dreams destroyed once again.

Sorry haters - Solis is not going to fulfill that dream for you and neither will Gaye.
Wlad is looking more and more settled, Vit is hangin in there, and it does not look like there is anyone who can currently compete with either of the brothers.

Arreola had signalled the most hope out of the recent challengers, but he has a similar problem to Solis in that he prefers to stuff his face with Taco's and sit on his asss playin on his playstation, rather than get himself in shape.

Say what you want about the Klitschko's, but at least they turn up ready to fight.

But it's pathetic how you guys will bend over backwards to praise all these cans that the brothers have been fighting lately yet can't find one single good thing to say about Solis.

I guess he short circuits your brain because giving him credit means admitting that the Klit's competition of late has been weak. And you just can't bring yourself to admit that.
I don't recall overcrediting Vitali's recent opposition. I just don't think there was anyone around willing and able to fight him that was much better than who he fought.

Solis is in my opinion overrated and a waste of Vitali's time at this stage of his career. I don't see why that is such a controversial opinion. When Solis falls flat on his face some of you guys are going to look a little foolish.

No one is going to look foolish if Solis gets knocked out. He will still be a far more credible opponent than Briggs or Sosnowski, and if fighting less credible opponents is a good thing but fighting and beating more credible ones is a waste of time, then we're all living in Wonderland, and the Mad Hatter should be the ref.

What I find weird about this discussion is that beating Solis convincingly will improve Vitali's reputation among neutrals (and therefore his perceived historical legacy) more than almost any other fight he could take at present, including even beating Adamek - and yet some of his own fans claim it's a waste of his time! Talk about perverse ...

What is unfortunate, though, legacy-wise, is that top contenders never fight each other any more, for financial reasons and because the alphabet rankings are so corrupt. The fact that the contenders are usually pretty much unproven when they get their title shot doesn't help the perception of how good a win it was, when they get beaten by one of the Klitschkos. In an ideal world, Solis would be forced to fight, not Austin, but Adamek, or Chambers, or someone like that, before becoming a mandatory challenger. In the old days, that's what would have happened, but we have to live with the system we have. And given the constraints of that system, Solis will be regarded by almost all neutrals as a far bigger feather in Vitali's cap than his last two opponents, and if fighting him is a waste of Vitali's time then he should just retire now.
