not many fighters would be able to ko a prime byrd. thats why he can't be compared to peter.....personally, i don't see sam peter having a chance against a prime byrd let alone knocking him out. i see byrd boxing peters ears off.

I always thought wlad's UD win over a prime byrd was his greatest win on his record.....

When the most bizarre ***** happend after he fought Tua.
That's true, but he did get an MRI scan which didn't show anything. So who knows.

Ike would be more competitive than the fighters the the W bros have faced lately. At this point the W bros are dominant and control the ring so well, maybe earlier in their career I would side with Ike but not at this point

You only have to look at Ibeabuchi's and Peter's physiques to realise they are different boxers. Peter is very bulky, and doesn't look like he can throw punches in a skillful way. He just looks like a big, strong bulldozer. Ibeabuchi looked [and was] athletic. He was muscular, but in a leaner way than Peter. Ike was actually a very skillful puncher and operator, which was why he knocked out Byrd.

Ibaebuchi was already in decline byu the Byrd fight just compare how he looks in the Tua fight (like a statue) versus the Bryd fight where he looked chunky and lathargic.

Ibaebuchi was a crazy man which aided him the ring but if he never went to jail he probably would have won a title but he would have never been able to handle success.

In reality it is better for everyone that he went to jail before he got known or he would have put another black eye on boxing.

He was heavier in the Byrd fight, but was a better boxer. He was showing head movement and was patient. He still had very fast hands for a man his size and weight. The Klitschkos have trouble with fast hands. Look at the first rounds of Vitali vs Hide and Sanders. Ike had those fast hands, and was probably insane enough to take an Evander Holyfield style beating and keep coming. He at the very least would have given them a very long night.

I was a really big fan of his, he was excellent in the ring.

He is insane and that is part of what made him so tough to fight against.

Seriously who wants to fight against a skilled, tough, Nigerian who happeans to be insane. That would strike fear into a lot of people, but I think he would unravel against someone who was up to the task.

In the ring he was fine but outside teh ring things were always going to end badly for him, and to me it is better that is happeaned sooner rather than later jsut to avoid all the drama that would have brought. To me there was no way he could handle success, so even if he went on to win a title (possibly even in a big fight) it would not have lasted.

the tua that fought rahman 1 was the same tua that fought ike. he wasnt past his best until after the first rahman fight when he started putting on all that weight. and rahman was winning that fight big until he got caught against the ropes

True, Byrd gets very underrated. He was an excellent boxer and surprisingly tough, even if you could hit him clean. Ike's knockout of him was frightening.
