yes but the power...will it be enough? he may come in at 150 but the speed is the one that will be compromise. margs will be rehydrating to what 160? 165?
now tell me who among the two is more handicapped? you may say that is fairly even, well prolly thats the concept of catchweight, but at this instance whose advantage it is?
your missing my point, it doesnt matter who the fighters are, its a junior middleweight title fight. if pac cant get enough weight then he shouldnt be fighting at junior middleweight. pac only has to reach 147.01lbs, he weighed in over 145 for his last fight. now if that takes away assets from pac then he should fight in a lower division, denying his opponent the right to weigh in between 147 and 154 just because his opponent is bigger than him is wrong.

the guy i replied to was saying because you can rehydrate then catchweights dont matter, my point is they do because in this case margarito has to lose more weight than he should have to for this division.

Exactly. Why even force a 'catchweight' when there's a rehydration rule in place? Psychological warfare?

It'll seriously backfire if Margo happens to catch Manny on a rebound and lays him out cold for an upset (Not that anybody expects that to happen). Then the catchweight will really be a moot point.
