I don't think it's fair to criticise him, in the circumstances, whoever the opponent ends up being. It used to be the case that the top contenders would jump at a chance to fight the lineal champion, even at short notice, but those days have gone, and it's most unfortunate. He'll get the best opponent he can, and should be respected for wanting to keep busy. He could have sat it out and waited until someone like Adamek was willing to fight him, but he wants to stay active.
That's fine, but I repeat: I don't want to see another Shannon Briggs in there.
