Not sure what you guys see..
Everytime I see Rigo i see a guy with lazy worth ethic in and out the ring.
He's accompanied by yes men who probably let him call the shots. Lazy on teh speed bag, even lazier on the crunches... scared work (sparring).. Not sure why no one else sees it.Comment

Nonito Donaire at 118
Yohnny Perez at 118
Juan Manuel Lopez at 126
Elio Rojas at 126
Possible
Celestino Caballero at 122 or 126
Abner Mares at 118 and 122
Again Rigondeaux is talented....I'm not denying that. It's just there are too many posers who are just riding his amatuer hype in an attempt to earn cool points on NSB.
Now you said you've been a fan since 99....cool. I can respect you hyping him up. At the same time you have to realize there are things he has to work on at this point......and amatuer boxing, compared to pro style boxing is entirely different. The things he got away with in the amatuer ranks....he won't get away with in the pros.
This is my last reply btw.....only because I don't want to take anything away from the kid.Comment

He is not overated in the boxing community per say....rather here on NSB. Dudes make it seem like he is unbeatable and can't be outboxed, when there are several guys around his weight class that will give it to him.
Again I think it boils down to so many people on here (NSB) try to come of more knowledgable than they really are. They hear about his amatuer career, watch one or two youtube fights......then make ridiculous claims such he will be an ATG/#1 P4P...or whatever.
Now if you have been a fan since 99....then cool. But again there are too many posers who don't know **** about him, and just jock his amatuer career and make bull**** claims to sound cool or come of as some boxing insider.
so No Rigondeaux is not overrated by anyone...actually he is NOT RATED AT ALL, some people are just excited about what he could potentially do as a PRO FighterComment

Just like you see many people pretending to be boxing experts with fighters like Rigondeaux... trust me you see a lot more like you trying to look knowledgeable by bringing up opposing theories to be different and look smart.
But hey, I respect your view... but i don't see a very good one at allLast edited by SonOfCuba; 10-29-2010, 11:45 PM.Comment

he's like a boxing genius... you have those rare people that are intellectual geniuses, they don't need to study hard but they outsmart everyone at school and they win nobel prizes. you also have those rare natural freaks who doesn't need to do shiet and they will still own ur ass and win olympic gold medals, rigo is one of them.Last edited by 537Bwouaye; 10-30-2010, 12:04 AM.Comment

come on now, please... Even you know you wouldn't place a $5 bet on those guys against Rigondeaux... i think the only person fooling himself here is you, with all due respect.

As far as Lopez, Donaire and Perez...I'm extremely confident in them beating Rigodeaux.
Man if a fight materilizes between any of those guys...remember me, as I'm willing to give you some good odds.Last edited by Khalid X; 10-30-2010, 12:13 AM.Comment
