Donaire is a boxer who moves a lot. Rigo is not only a better boxer then Donaire but he's also BIGGER then donaire & packs more of a punch.

Lopez is there to be outboxed by a guy like rigo. lopez will come out fighting rigos style of fight from the jump. i believe marquez will expose this. win or lose.

rigo's gonna be HARD to beat.
perez has no defense at all he would get dominated against rigo without a doubt, donair is tall as ish so he might have a chance who knows but i still bet on rigo

according to Rigo's manager Bob Arum mentioned it as a possibility for late 2011, but of course thats just smoke in the air right now i dont think they would agree to it. once he does jump to 126 it probably be against a top dog in that weight class since he is signed to top rank

Rigo is like a mini Bhop, he controls the ring, countering and slipping shots. What happened in Perez/Mares is Mares has a ***** defense. I think Rigo would beat either Perez or Mares. I belive Perez only looked good cause he was in with Mares, but how they say style makes fights.

What do you mean he only looked good because he was in with Mares? Dude Mares is an elite fighter himself. Matter of a fact I have Perez as the #1BW and Mares at either #2 or #3.

Perez has beaten three very elite BW's in Agbecko, Mabuza, Mares. I like how some people (this is me speaking in general and not bashing you) think Perez is chop liver. Yhonny is a legit fighter and extremely talented.

I know there elite fighters, I just don't think they can beat Rigo. I'ma watch some of these fights on youtube today, if I can. Looking at Rigo fghts

I just think Rigo is gonna go straight to the top. I've seen Mares since his fights on Telefutura, and Juanma. They were once at the same weight, and he even went on Solo Boxeo to commentate one of Juanmas fights. But when the tyme came for them to fight he moved down in weigh, and had that detached retina (however you spell it).

Mares gets hit too much, and Juanma will batter him unconscious. Mares did take a good fight when he fought Perez, he just has a ***** defense, and I'am echoing what others have said about his defnse, his own Mexican fans have said that.

FWIW I think highly of Rigondeaux. My thing is this; I just feel there is a huge difference between amateur and pros, and there are a few things rigondeaux has to work on if he wants to be elite

                      1. He has to tuck his chin as he is open to short right hooks. Also he has several defensive lapses in which is open and someone with great timing will give him problems. Look at Roy. He was about as talented as any fighter in the history of the sport. The thing is if you punched when he punched, due to him not tucking his chin.....he was open to several punches as well. Just check out rigondeaux and you will see him open for huge counters as well.

                      2. He has to improve on his ability to lead more in fights. I'm gonna use Floyd Mayweather, since both him and rigondeaux have similar elements to their game. When Floyd went from good to great....it's when improved on his ability to lead more in fights and put combinations together.

Guillermo has all the tools to do so....so hopefully the right trainer helps him in this area. Notice in the Mosley fight how much that helped Floyd. When he was on his back foot trying to counter. that's when Floyd got caught. Floyds best success was when he took the fight to Shane and no doubt there will be fights down the road when it will work in Rigondeaux favor to take the fight to his opponent.

                      3. His ability to clinch. Now I rarely, if ever, have seen Rigondeux clinch. Sorry man but there will be a time when you will have to do so or you are gonna end up getting destroyed. If we have learned anything from guys like Cotto and Calderon is that you can't take on a pressure fighter if you can't slow him down. Power is not enough as most pressure fighters have granite chins as well. Even Shane clinched to Slow Margarito down and

                      4. Work ethic. Talent only gets you so far and the sports best are also the hardest workers. I mean nobody works harder than Wladimir Klitschko, Floyd Mayweather, and Manny Pacquiao. There work ethic's are legendary....and from everything I heard....Rigondeaux is severely lacking in this area. Dude better step it up, if those rumors are true, because he will need it if he wants to take it to the next level.

Now again I'm not ****ting on the kid, and I think he will be great as well. I just don't think he is ready for the elite fighters right now, and until he works on those areas I mentioned above, he is very vunerable against certain fighters.
