and Hatton over Floyd are you insane ???
now dont give me the brit hater thing im really being neutral here. i love how hatton fights but him over Floyd not yet man.
You see El Jefe, the the way I see it... Hatton beat "The Man"... And @140lbs Mayweather has only fought Corley, Bruselles, and Gatti. None of these three I would have rated in the top 5 at Super-Lightweight. (Yes that does include Gatti).

Floyd has all the potential to become the best 140lb fighter, but he's got to actually do it in the ring, rather than people just assuming "he probably would do it if he ever did fight the champ"

Hatton beated Tsyzu and Mayweather beated Gatti imo they were both over rated. and IMO Mayweather has fought better over all oposition not only at 140 either.

With all the different weight classes and with guys jumping up and down all the time now the whole title belt thing for each individual weight class gets kind of silly. I think martin has the right guys on his list but because of the nature of the sport the two arguably best fighters in the business are left out: Floyd and Winky. Hatton beat the titlist and gets the title but Floyd has had the better opposition in his career. At any rate, these days p4p lists seem to provide a more accurate picture of the boxing scene.

Mayweather has fought better opposition than Hatton, but not at 140lbs he hasn't.

Hatton's had 39 fights at 140lbs, he's fought himself into the madatory position for all WBA/IBF/WBO and 2nd in WBC... This was based on the fighters he fought.

If you take away Tszyu and Gatti... Bruselles and Corley are not in the same league as Hattons opposition.

Is this another thread to get boxingscene to recognize Hatton as the man to beat at 140lbs?

Cuz if it is, WE AGREE ALREADY!

            You can stop now.

I think if PBF and hatton fight PBF will win, but imo Hatton is da man at the minute cos he beat Zoo, and someone else mentioned winky being 154 champ maybe if he goes back down and wins another fight down their but at the minute hes fighting at 160 and the champ is Taylor

I do agree Hatton beat the man. Tszyu was the man, but he didn't really acted like the real champ. The guy fought like 2 times in over 2 years. I know he had some injuries but still no excuse for him not fighting too much. Tszyu doesn't really enjoys boxing. Corley & Gatti are good fighters.

                  Correction

                  I'd definetly have to take
                  heavy-Lacy
                  light welter-Mayweather Jr.

Heavy? Lacy isn't a heavyweight. Unless I'm missing some sort of sarcasm.

I'm sorry man... But if you've got Jeff Lacy as the "People's Champ" @168lbs, you are either very new to boxing, heavily biased, or just plain don't know what you're talking about.
