Calzaghe vs. Lacy and Hatton vs. Mayweather will determine the best at 168 and 140 respectively .. so lets just sit back and enjoy the fights

remember the world title involves the whole world....not just the UK, USA, and Mexico.US..........so please think of others who add to the equation.

No offence buts I think its pretty obvious that Calzaghe&Lacy and Hatton&Mayweather are no.1 and no.2 at 168 and 140 respectively ..

Kessler and Cotto are a little green and not quite in that class, lets be honest

Lacy is pretty green, too, though. He only has 21 pro fights.

well i was mainly thinking of kessler.......but if he is green, then calzaghe is the opposite........

calzaghe is so past his prime, that he has played his game well....waiting for his last and large payday.......his opposition of late has shown us that he knows his time has come..........

No worries man... No slagging off matches - (On a sidenote, I am getting a bit tired on this website of trying to start a boxing conversation only to have someone that doesn't agree with me, turn and start "name calling" etc... Where did all the intelligent posters go?).

On the Pacquiao vs Barrera thing... I thought that Barrera didn't look right in that fight. He had a disrupted preperation with moving camps (coz' of the fires on big bear), + he had a load of crap going on in the press saying that they may stop the fight (coz' of the metal plate in his forehead).

Don't get me wrong... I'm a real Pacquiao fan... I think he's GREAT!... And I was extremely impressed with how well he fought against Morales. I thought some people saying, "Morales schooled him" were being very unfair. Pacquiao got through with some really well placed, heavy, and well timed shots... He hurt Morales!

                I reckon Barrera would out-box Pacquaio in a re-match.

I agree that Calzaghe is past his prime but I believe that if his head is right he can somehow get past Lacy and then do some damage at 175 where he belongs .. but I fear for Calzaghe against Lacy at 168 .. he'd stand a much better chance of beating Lacy at 175 because he's been really struggling for years to make the 168 limit ..

Calzaghe has only had three fights in the last two years and didnt look like his usual self in those three fights ..! BUT Calzaghe is so big and strong, I'm sure he still has quick hands and I'm sure he still has heavy hands .. and he's a southpaw which I dont think Lacy has come up against yet ..? Also Calzaghe has no stamina issues unlike Lacy maybe ..? And we have to remember that in his last big fight against Mitchell a few years back he got dropped but then got back up and stopped Mitchell in that same round ..!
