I can't remember any story on ESPN, BoxingScene, or Max Boxing that gave a source to another boxing site. Ever.

I have seen a few stories broken on his Twitter (conversation he had directly with promoter/manager/fighter) that show up here an hour later. I have no problem with it at all, but why don't you guys ever give him credit?

Same guy who said Marquez was robbed against John but then weeks later admitted he didn't watched the fight?

I mean I thought Marquez won too, but this guy just goes ahead with public opinion. So everyone is bashing Floyd right now, so he does it too.

He does steal stuff from boxing websites.

Imagine, these sites are not mainstream like ESPN. ESPN is on national TV so they're not gonna give credit to Boxingscene for the stories, they're gonna make believe they made it up. If Boxingscene had it's own TV show on national TV, Dan Rafael would have been out of business.

THIS. Good source for news, bad source for informative opinions. his schedules are accurate, but hes an ******* and i used to get my boxing fix from espn, but i must say even with the infighting and occasional bad articles, boxingscene is a much better site for boxing news and opinion pieces. rafael seems to work alone on espn boxing, for all his faults, managing that page would be too much for anyone.

So it's stealing if Dan Rafael does it because he's ESPN, but it's not stealing if boxing websites do it?

I get sick of the bashing of Rafael when we all know damn well he breaks stories in the sport and I have yet to see him get any credit from any of the articles on this website once. If people who write articles for this site want to have some credibility saying Rafael is "stealing" give him credit when it is due. If not you are on the same playing field, which I'm fine with, just don't play the moral superiority card.

the difference being rafael works for espn, a big market site yet i never see him cite any sources when he posts breaking stories. on this site, even with all it's faults, i have seen them give sources on occasion

Seems many times his sources are actual promoters, managers, and fighters themselves. People assume he's "stealing" info from other sites when oftentimes I bet he gets the information just like many boxing websites do, directly from the people intimately involved (not other websites).

Sounds like you're not 100% sure that he does. I wouldn't argue in his side if I were you because i'm 100% you don't know for sure that he indeed does not steal. Seems like you're just blindly taking his side.
