As a Pacquiao fan, it seems to me that he is a major Mayweather hater.

Yes, his rudeness and dismissiveness of fans' viewpoints is what irks me about him. On any given Friday during his chats he makes it a point to marginalize posters opinions and doesn't like, and allow, debate. Other than that, he's pretty top notch and is more often than not, the source behind breaking news stories and insider dealings..

Also, his boxing schedule is by far, the most comprehensive (next to boxrec) of any boxing website...

Totally agree with all of that. Like him or not, Rafael is an excellent source for boxing info.

And while he may have a bias, he doesn't let it show. He says he has favorites like Joel Julio and Acelino Freitas, but when he writes about them you couldn't even tell.

He is very rude his chats sometimes, but who cares. I'm sure in person he is much different. It is easy to be an ******* online, and is a lot of fun too
That's not accurate at all. He has quotas that has to meet on a monthly basis. The chats and extra bull**** like TV appearances is at the request of ESPN. Other writers who cover other sports for ESPN do the same thing, INCLUDING BLOGS and some of those people update DAILY. He gets paid for everything that he does. He is the last person to do freebies.

And he is huge ******* is person. Ask around at how many writers and fans he high-hands, doesn't even shake their hands or turns his back when people say hello.....like he's a star.

And he takes a lot of stories and news from other sources, like this one, without ever giving credit to anyone. It's not a coincident that someone will break a story here or elsewhere and then he posts it like four hours later or sometimes days later like it's never been reported.

One thing you've got to give him, and this really may be more about his affiliation with ESPN, but he's incredibly accurate.

Pretty much anything reported by Rafael is bound to be extremely accurate, no shoddy reporting.

Thats cause he waits for these stories to be CONFIRMED before he puts them up on ESPN. So many stories break on other websites before they are confirmed. Sometimes they are right, often they are not.

And he Rafael may be a **** but he MORE then exceeds these quotas. THeres nothing that says he has to chat for THREE hours every friday. Some writiers chat for 20 minutes and then they are gone. And he DEFINETLY doesn't need to blog 2 to 3 times a week. Many other writers hardly blog at all.

He makes the Boxing page at ESPN. I always go there. His Twitter is also awesome. His schedule is always spot on and up to date. I never read his rankings, but his chats are always informative and many times hysterical.

Some people hate that there are some people doing extremely positive things for the sport and us fans.

As Kball just said, he doesn't report crap rumours. I don't remember any time he said a certain fight was signed and it really wasn't. I follow different people/sites on Twitter and usually he's the first to report it (not that it always matters, but it seems he's usually first with the stuff we all want to know).
