Yes, there is a chance but there was also a chance of Amir losing from Malignagi because of nerves of fighting in the US at his back yard and being stuck in Canada. Amir never fought a fast, slick boxer as Malignaggi before.

Malignaggi is fast but I wouldn't call him slick. He gets hit too much. Hopkins[Crafty and slick], Mayweather[defensive, fast, and slick], Guzman[fast and slick], those 3 for example, are slick fighters. It's very hard to hit them. Malignaggi got him by N'dou, Hatton, Diaz, Khan, Cotto. Any C level fighter can hit Malignaggi to be honest. But his boxing skills and speed are 4 stars, his slickness and defense is 2 stars. IMO from the fights i've seen.
