I just think he's being devalued as an opponent.

I do think Pac's all wrong for him styles wise and it will be one sided.

But since when is Antonio freaking Margarito not a legitimate opponent? People can go "oh he's another slow plodding brawler" blah blah. True, but it's only a styles thing, and if you're fighting a guy who has proven as much as Margarito has, you shouldn't be getting **** for it.

Guys like Bradley, Alexander, and Berto may deserve it more based on what they've done in the past year and a half, but when you put Margarito next to them, putting morals aside, can you really say that they're much better opponents than Margarito, cause I can't.

Oscar, said he will fight the winner of Cotto-Marg. Then decided to fight a LW who just had one fight at LW. And, had him go up 2 extra divisions.

Judah also said he will never fight Marg.

And, Don King didn't want to put Mayorga in their with Marg.

            What?

He was getting a career high payday... And, I think by double the amount. And, that was just the guarantee not talking about PPV upside.

Out of those 3 names you mentioned. I would say Bradley at 140 would be a better opponent for Pac than Marg at 150.

However, I do agree that Marg at 150 is a better opponent than both Alexander and Berto. And, I think a bigger threat as well. However, the other 2 are more deserving.

But, again I am happy for Marg that he is getting this payday.

the same amount he was getting by fighting the Lineal champ. if he would have fought marg and not baldo, people would have said he avoided baldo.

arum didnt want to serve up marg and cotto for the price he asked, he did what he had to do. but dont sit here and lie that he avoided marg b.c he was afraid to fight him or cotto

He should of have gotten big money fights in 06, he should of gotten this payday or more so in 08 after Cotto.

But, 2 of the biggest names avoided him. NO top WW dared to mention his name for the first half of the decade.

Never got the respect he deserves for having arguably having the best WW resume in the last 10 years.

Yes he might be a disgraced fighter now, due to the Shane and wraps scandal. But, I am happy he is getting paid now.

As a Pac fan, this fight does nothing for Pac. Manny should be fighting more deserving fighters. But, as a Marg I like that he is getting the opportunity.

As a Pac fan it would suck if he lost to Marg. But, if Pac has to lose I would like to be to Marg. I am still rooting for Pac and hope he wins. Which I think he will. However, as a Marg fan I would be happy for him if he could pull off the upset.

                      That is all.
Surely Baldomir paid his dues just as much as Margarito to get his shot at Mayweather in 06. Baldo was the champ, who just beat Zab Judah. At that point Margaritos biggest win was Kermit Cintron. Gatti was a better fighter than Diaz and Lewis, so if anything Baldomir had earned a shot at Mayweather more than Margarito.
