Proof of UFC's greatness? Lesnar's destruction

MMA isnt giving you better matchups. They just do a better job of selling the matches to you because everyone is under one promotion in UFC. Unlike boxing, a unified sport with unified rules and where people from all over fight eachother, MMA is set up like pro wrestling in the 70s was. Its regional and territorial and there are different companies with different fighters. UFC does a great job of convincing people they are the majors and everyone else is below them, but who knows? MMA fans can barely read, they dont know whats going on. If Joe Rogan tells them its the biggest fight ever they believe it. UFC represents only a portion of MMA and they concern themselves more about who will bring in the cash than who is the best. How do you know Brock Lesnar is better than anyone in strikeforce? I dont know, I dont really care, but think its funny that people are like "MMA we get the best vs. the best, no politics." No, there are even more politics, but instead of having politics that make setting up certain fights difficult, MMA makes it so setting up certain fights is impossible and not even worth mentioning. Itd be like if Frank Warren started, "FWB: Frank Warren Boxing." Then took his fighters, put them under contract, told everyone their the best and all that matters, and just had them fight eachother. Its a joke.Comment

These sudden, unexpected and spectacular knockouts will always occur when an opponent can't take a punch.
Correction: If it were the UFC.
Such highly anticipated matchups as Fedor Ememianenko vs Randy Couture, and more recently against Brock Lesnar never happened.Everybody within that fanbase wanted to see it,and they never got it.
It took some six years in the making - as it was billed in the promotion - for Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva to fight - by which time both were past their best, coming off of two losses, thus diminishing the attraction that it once held.
It was Dana White's own ego that prevented these fights from ever taking place when they should have taken place. His refusal to co-promote,to share a platform with any other product out there.Comment

writers like this one, twist facts to hype things up. they are responsible for UFC/MMA huggers to believe that mma is better than boxing.
tsk, tsk, tsk
1) floyd's fight are predictable and boring and his record is padded because he doesn't fight anybody that poses a true threat to him
2) vitali's fight are predictable and boring and his record is padded because the current HW division is absolute garbage.
here's what the writer is wrong about:
1) brock lesnar losing to velasquez doesn't prove that mma is great. it just proves that lesnar has no skill and is just a physical specimen. if anything this proves that UFC sucks anus because they had a guy with no skills as the HW champion. UFC is garbage.
2) BJ Penn was unbeatable, but now he's older, slower, stiffer.
3) GSP and Silvia are still undefeated, which ****s up his whole argument.Comment

Considering the vast majority of the knockouts are as the result of punches, yes,it is because they can't take a punch.
Knockouts as the result of a kick or a knee really aren't that common within MMGAY.They do happen on occasion, but they're not the norm.Comment

The reason why MMA is worse than boxing is because most MMA fighters are TERRIBLE at everything.
Even the elite MMA fighters are good at only 1 (MAYBE 2) aspects of MMA.
So when guys like Lesnar meets someone who can wrestle like him, but can ALSO box, he gets exposed as a bum.
Look at how Lesnar, a 280lb man, was ****ing spinning around the cage when Cain hit him ONCE on the mouth.Comment
